The media is just making a big deal out of this flu, it is serious and yes there should be precautions but I bet there other things that people die of more than this flu. IMO its just the Powerhouses in the world trying to bring the Mexican country further down. It's BS people! What do you think?

Thanks for easing my mind, I thought for sure I was going to die from a flu that has a 90-something percent recovery rate if treated.

We're all going to die!!! Armageddon is upon us!!! Put your faith in Jesus Christ to be saved by the almighty!!!

Seriously though... I believe the swine flu virus of 1812 did pretty much the same thing. The first outbreak was fairly mild. However after a few months went by another mutated outbreak took hold and killed millions of people.

That's really great. The real question still remains however: will over 9000 die?

Yeah, seeing as the regular flu kills like 16,000 people a year, and the swine flu has killed like 200 or 300 it isn't a big deal. They also found it wasn't airborn and isn't as big of a threat as they thought it was.

They are trying to stop drug violence by blowing this up. People won't want that mexican coke if it's tainted with swine flu. Many people won't go to mexico, since they are advisnig us not to go there and more americans who work in the drug trade with mexico will stop.... OR the united states created the virus and infected mexico. Knowing that not many us citizens will die because we are healthier but many mexicans will die because they aren't healthy. After doing so, a drug cartel or two might die and we will face lesser numbers if a war breaks out on our border. ORRRrrRRr the us is trying to keep more jobs back home in an effort to help the economy. They will get the new elmo tainted with swine flu. When many kids get sick of the product made in mexico the whole us will demand jobs to stay here(exactly what they want). It's very serious actually. The fact is, the more ignorant people are, the more serious it is. It all started (i believe) some very dirty part in mexico, someone was kinda desperate and decided to hump a pig and then.. the disease spread to another through human contact... and it goes on and on. Put it this way, if the factory is disposing toxic waste into the water stream and the government focuses on cleaning up the water, more and more riverbanks are going to get infected unless the government shuts down the source, which is the factory. Though, in this case it was a simple doing which caused mass spread. My belief is that, treat all the infected ones, enforce a policy so if someone decides to stick something into something unordinary.. something like animal abuse which is the main source of swin flu, there will be heavy penalties.

Egypt done that. but it wasn't because of swine flu.. they just used that as an excuse to execute the order.

Well, we don't even know if it originated in Mexico. Plus, think about it for a minute. It wouldn't be politically correct (not that I'm a PC supporter).

I''m sick of the whole swine flu thing as well. Something like 13,000 people a year die from the flu and there have been how many confirmed deaths in Mexico because of this? 1, maybe 10?

Hey you know, that's actually a spectacular idea. I do believe the medical professionals always gets first dips on name calling when an outbreak occurs. Like Sars. If the majority calls it Mexican flu, not only does it scars their country with a disgusting image it also destroys their economy; people would think twice before going there for holidays and whatnot.

Wait, you mean just "flu"? seriously?, I didn't know that. Besides the Black Death that occured hundreds of years ago which killed I think millions and that obesity and peanut allergies kills thousands a year in America and the other outbreaks.. didn't know flu itself killed that many people a year.

EDIT: unless you mean some other flu. Sars only killed a few hundred if I'm correct while this new fly only killed less then a hundred but thousands are in suspected cases.

It originated in Mexico. If they called in Mexican Flu, whoever coined it would pretty much get a suit slapped on them. Because it hurts their countries reputation and economy. It's like hunny, lets go to Mexico for holidays. Hun: they have the mexican flu there, we should pick somewhere else.

The flu can be fatal to Older people, but it can also kill people with no access to health care.

Pleas people get it in your heads. This H1N1 flu has nothing to do with pigs I heard it's man-made but certainly nothing to do with pigs which is why Swine shouldn't be used any longer and pigs shall not be banished..

13,000 is way lowballing it if you're talking worldwide; the global annual death rate from seasonal flu viruses is closer to 250,000.

Wait, you mean just "flu"? seriously?, I didn't know that. Besides the Black Death that occured hundreds of years ago which killed I think millions and that obesity and peanut allergies kills thousands a year in America and the other outbreaks.. didn't know flu itself killed that many people a year.

The flu can be fatal to Older people, but it can also kill people with no access to health care.

I always have flu. I mean, you don't expect someone Old to just sneez and watch their head blow up in pieces.

Pleas people get it in your heads. This H1N1 flu has nothing to do with pigs I heard it's man-made but certainly nothing to do with pigs which is why Swine shouldn't be used any longer and pigs shall not be banished..pspdseagle

Nothing to do with pigs? It came from pigs - first pigs had it, then it was transmitted to humans who came into contact with the infected pigs. Hence... swine flu.
The media is just making a big deal out of this flu, it is serious and yes there should be precautions but I bet there other things that people die of more than this flu. IMO its just the Powerhouses in the world trying to bring the Mexican country further down. It's BS people! What do you think?

gigantuouse

Why cant we call it Mexican Flu?

Because that's ignorant. It's like calling Aids the Ethiopian flu you see how stupid/ignorant that sounds? It would tarnish the country and if you're over 12 years of age or older then there is NO excuse as to why you would say "Mexican flu" we don't even know if it originated there...

Would you be happy if your country suddenly developed some killing disease and then some ignorant bastards started calling it "Yank flu"? It would not be helpful at all for your country's economy...

Don't be confusing the flu with a cold. Which is what i think you are doing.
