I wouldn't doubt it. The US did it a few times already like in El Salvadore and other South/Central American countries. I definitely wouldn't deny that the US is a manipulative b!tch as far as international relations go, and personally I'm against us rigging elections and sponsoring violent rebellions, but we have to keep our war-driven economy going somehow. Not saying that's the case with Syria, because I'm pretty sure it isn't. Just getting that out there. :P
