Teen bride of 'Lost' actor really is 16

When it was announced that "Lost" actor Doug Hutchison, 51, married Courtney Stodden, 16, the only thing more difficult to believe than the union itself was the idea that Stodden was only 16 years old.

After all, the aspiring singer-songwriter has a website that's filled with photos and videos that display an appearance and poise that definitely belies her young age.

E!has gotten to the bottom of the "how can she be a teenager?" conundrum, and unearthed Stodden's birth certificate. The verdict? Stodden is in fact just 16 years old. Her date of birth is listed as Aug. 29, 1994, so she's just two months shy of her 17th birthday.

Uhm I don't get this thread. This has been brought up several times already and I don't see how it's some secret, the girl has several music videos on Youtube and all that, so I don't get why the title mentions like this just has been confirmed.

I'm still not convinced. I'm about a month older thanshe is supposed to beand looking at her and then back to me... it's simply not believable.

This is messed up. I'm 19 and I'd feel like a creep going out with a 16 year old... But this guy is 51!! Also, I listened to some of her music and damn does she suck.

I don't know why anyone would marry someone THAT much older.. they will have health issues and will pass away a LOT sooner than you.. why would you want to put yourself through that heart ache? What's more baffling is the fact that her parents are okay with it. I know that if I had a daughter who wanted to marry somebody older than I am there's no way I'd ever let that fly. I guess the parents are fame whores just like their daughter is.

To each his own, I guess. You can call him a creep all you want but the rebuttal he can easily bring up is that he didn't break the law. Of course, people are more concerned about the moral objections they have against it. If I was the girl I would be worried about the fact that ten years from now I'd still be in my 20s and he'll be over 60 but she might only be concerned about his money.

For my next job, I'm going to play a weird, creepy guy on Lost.

This isn't really related, but it just dawned on me that that's the guy who played Eugene Victor Tooms in the first season of The X-Files lol. As for the girl, she looks 16 in some photos but not many of them.

Her age doesn't matter. Anyways, I don't find her attractive. Shes going for the "hot" look and that just doesn't look good.

I prefer to refer to him as the 'Green Mile' actor.

Through all of this, a teenager marrying somebody old enough to be her dad doesn't bug me. The fact that he's probably a perv doesn't bug me. The fact that she's probably marrying him to get publicity and some fame doesn't bug me. It doesn't even bug me that parents would let their teenage daughter marry somebody, let alone somebody their own age. What bothers me is that she looks like a 50something with a butt ton of plastic surgery. Her face is just creepy as hell.
