What made him to do this kinda of thing? :(

Meh, I don't shed tears for animals... but that guy obviously shouldn't be allowed in public without meds.
Ok I read further, 158 years in jail? He shouldn't get one, these are cats no people, he just needs therapy.clembo1990

Ayup. While what he did was absolutely horrible and I personally would love to deal him his fair share, he's going to be broken in in jail, and it's exactly what he deserves.158 years in prison? He better get used to sharing his lovely story to cellmates.

No it's not. He killed ANIMALS, granted they belonged to people and he should be punished for violating the property of other individuals, but 158 years in jail is completely bat**** insane.158 years in prison? He's pretty much better off being in a mental institute for a couple of years than spending his life rotting in prison for killing cats...

Nor do you, so simply saying "give him therapy" won't solve anything. Psycho-analyze the kid, try therapeutic methods, but he still has to pay his dues. It is all too often that people are given therapy, then say "**** that" later and go ballistic, just like the guy that decapitated that teen on the Greyhound bus lines. He was "rehabilitated", but he stopped taking his meds, nothing was done, and an innocent kid gets carved up infront of 30 some other people.158 years in prison? The fact that someone is sentenced for a longer duration than they'll live is idiotic, I'll say that much, but people who are shown to be psychologically insecure and have extreme violent and sadistic tendencies shouldn't be out on the streets after a mere year.158 years in prison? I'd really like to beat the $#!% out of bastards like that... Darth-CaedusAs would I. It would make me even more furious if they were dogs.. :x
Remember he killed animals not people.
SSBFan12
He ubducted these animals from people's yards. Do you realize what he did to them? He didn't just kill them, he mutilated them and left them on their owner's doorsteps. I live in the area where this happened and many people were fearing he would come for kids next. Get out of your box, this isn't a sane man, he's a killer.
I find it very hypocritical that strangling chickens or mutilating cows is normal, while doing the same to cats is considered a crime (i'm not advocating what the teenager did, I am angered by this much as anyone else).
St_JimmyX
How is strangling chickens and mutilating cows normal?
If you are talking about the meat industry... well they behead the animals. And there is a purpose other than inflicting pain and suffering.

For life? Forget it. Society is getting more and more hypocritical by the day. Have you seen how animals are treated at slaughterhouses all ever the US and in other western countries? There's no way this kid's life should be destroyed, whilst those who kills millions of animals in even crueler ways walks free. I'm against any such punishment, but if you're going to punish people for violating the law, at least be consistent. Oh c'mon, there's a massive difference. Do you see tigers killing out of sadism?
What a sicko.. He's lucky jail is all he got, I wouldv'e killed the kid if it were my pet. I don't care if that is not justice, but I would not be thinking clearly..

I'm pretty furious about him killing animals as well, since I love them and think it's absolutely sick that people like him are out there in this world - but I also think it's ridiculous that he's pretty much getting life in prison for killing animals... Whereas people who commit worse crimes would not usually get such a ruling.
Least they could do is pull A Clockwork Orange on him and send him to a mental institute for a couple of years.

Ok, enlighten me, what difference constitutes him being looked away for 158 years and them getting payed for doing pretty much the same thing but with different intent?
