Teen hospitalized due to Pro-Blue Lives Matter videos

An Alabama teenager went airlifted to the hospital in critical condition Friday after an assault in a parking lot, allegedly in retaliation for a social media postsiding with police officers over the Black Lives Matter movement.

According to Sylacauga Police Chief Kelley Johnson, 17-year-old Brian Ogle was at the parking lot which a large group of his peers when he was attacked by one or more black students. Ogle was hit on the head with the butt of a pistol, fracturing his skull and causing him to bleed from his brain.

Did they drug test or do a background check on the victim yet. An investigation is needed to hold all parties accountable. Lets all be happy guns werent involved. We might have been dealing with a dead body or bodies if that were the case.

Very unfortunate that all this seems to have been is a political disagreement.

Kiddies gotta learn sooner than later that you can't be beating up people over a rather petty difference in opinions. Hopefully the kid is able to make a good recovery. And his attackers can learn how to better channel their anger.

Pure speculation though. You never know, dude might have been a thug trying to pick a fight with someone. Maybe the other person has bruises too. Investigation is needed to hold both parties accountable.

Nah, but seriously, BLM is a symptom of a serious problem, it's not the problem itself. It does not warrant a response with more fakesymtpom-like groups or causes like Blue Lives Matter. There's not a serious problem plaguing police, or white people.

It's like you got the flu, that's the problem (racism). Then you cough up green crap from your throat, that's a symptom (BLM). Then for some stupid reason every time you cough you have to stand up, go "WEEEEEEEEE" and turn around three times, that's not a legit symptom or even coming from a real problem (thats All Lives Matter, Blue Lives Matter, and Trump supporters).

Yeah but maybe it was self defense. If you come at someone with a weapon, dont they technical have the right to shoot you? I mean had the person lost the fight that weapon could have been used to kill him. Maybe it was better this maybe thug just wound up in the hospital and not 6 feet in the ground.

In my state we call it standing your ground. That beach would have been dead had he come attack me with my gun equipped. One bullet to the head, god bless the dead.

@iandizion713: Self defense arguments usually go out the window when more than the needed force is used to overpower or subdue an aggressor.

And there isn't an indication the kid in the ICU was the aggressor. The likelyhood he started a fight being outnumbered isn't high. And his beating could legally be considered gang assault. As just two attackers are needed to qualify for what is a felony.

Also the fact his Facebook account is gone and we cant view the "Blue Lives" video makes me think theyre covering up for this wannabe looking thug.

He was probably up to no good hanging around an abandoned parking lot, started a fight with a dude who had a gun and got his arse pistol whipped.

The person stated political disagreement, having different opinions, and controlling anger. Trump just happen to come to mind. But i dropped Trump sense they seemed to be offended by it. Is there video? Many businesses keep surveillance cameras, and they were filming a video themselves. Guess we'll have to see. And, what's the deal with his friends? Did they not back him up? We're they outnumbered?

Hmm, maybe it'll take time for any video to surface. Usually crimes involving minors are suppressed except by court order.

This took place at a community divided, and Police are currently checking his social media and stated that it's possible that his Blue Lives Matter Rhetoric may have caused a lot of his high school classmates urk the wrong way!

Well you can't! There is no proof of the victim drinking as there is no shattered glass or the victim picking fights! Again, you like to make opinions to fit your narrative! Police already claimed that a gun was used to crack the victims skull and he was in near death condition!

Yeah, seems i was wrong. I wasnt thinking of "Black Lives Matters" movement. I was just thinking of blacks fight for equal justice and police accountability. Its been going on for for decades.

That's what makes me mad about BLM. The fight...the movement for blacks have equal rights, being treated fair...MLK, everybody before that addressed the issues at the root of the cause. BLM cherry picks shit to make money off of instead of going into their own neighborhoods WHICH NEED HELP. It undermines real racism in this country, the real problems, and us actually moving forward to giving african-american community the way of life they deserve. Everytime I see BLM on tv interrupting speeches, or just rioting it pisses me off because they only represent hate and they're pretty much chicken hawks.

The thing that annoys me about this issue, beyond the obvious, is that the media seems to have deliberately pushed this issue for the sake of the election.

No-one seems to be pointing out that rate of police deaths and the fraction that were black men has been exactly the same for the last 8 years and no-one said anything about it. Obama did bugger all.

Now they go mental over it in the election year as if it's a problem that's increased. That's just a lie. They've just chose to focus on it more. And especially on the black victims, even though half of police killings are white guys. It's just no-one seems to report those.

It's very hard to see how this issue hasn't been deliberately pushed for a reason.
