I still go to GameStop, but I refuse to buy used games unless they are only available used.
I'll go to Target too though.
Take it from someone who works there. This guy speaks the absolute truth.
I work at GameStop because the American economy is pure **** right now and I was lucky (lol, poor choice of words) enough to land a job so I'm not leaving it any time soon. Having worked there for about a year and a half now, I have grown a new hatred for the company and practically everything it's associated with. It treats its employees like **** and its used game and trade in policies are only an inch away from highway robbery (which is why I never trade in games there).
so he had a bad job and whines about it like a 3 year old...what a punkhiggydiggy
It's not so much whining as it is a warning to everyone who does business with them either as a customer or behind the counter as an employee.

well every business has secrets. and yeah you dont get as much when you trade in a game and the price they sell it at but where else are you going to do that. all i can think of is blockbuster and they dont even advertise it.[QUOTE="The_Game21x"][QUOTE="higgydiggy"]so he had a bad job and whines about it like a 3 year old...what a punkhiggydiggy

ITT: People don't watch the video
is now proven correct.

For instance, GameStop will give you $18 (store credit) for a copy of Grand Theft Auto IV. As demonstrated in the first episode of this series, you can start up a small "business" on Amazon.com or hell, even Ebay and sell it for, lets just say $33. Already, you've nearly doubled what you would've gotten from GameStop (in cash, none of that store credit BS) with very little extra effort. Sure, you may have to wait a bit longer, but if you price your game competitively, people will buy it.
Yes, every business has its share of skeletons in the closet, but GameStop takes it to another level.
They're pretty much a monopoly on videogame only stores. If a small independent videogame store opens up in your small town, you can bet GameStop will take it over in a blink.wow sorry i dont live in the states how big is gamestop and thats quite shocking
dan-rofl-copter
wow, i can understand yahtzee but this guy doesn't speak english half the time
And I realized a couple years ago that i was making a mistake by trading my stuff to gamestop. Started going over to CD tradepost where i usually got $5-10 more. the Wii system me and my ex traded in got alot more than it would have at gamestop, i think like $30+ or so.
Gamestop sucks, period. If some of you guys want to waste your money, keep defending the store. And let them get take advantage and give you crappy deals
I used to shop at GS alot, but mostly quit after getting double charged for Gran Turismo 4. The main problem is that they are the only store around where I live that ever has anything. Furthermore, the people working behind the desk there constantly talk trash about customers as soon as they leave, and they do this in front of the other customers. It's almost like meeting forum trolls in person every time you go in there.
