I liked the first half of the movie just fine, then when he takes the mushrooms and finds the sasquatch..the movie starts to suck really bad. So I like one half of it and hate the other.
i liked it, something random and funny. the best bits were the beginning and ending really, with a few comical scnes in the middle such as Ben Stiller giving up his day job, movign to rome and learning latin. :P
As much as I enjoy jack black, I can't stand musicals. Only time singing/dancing is good in a movie is if its ridiculously stupid, like the end of 40 year old virgin.

I think it's different if you're a fan of Tenacious D, which this movie is largely aimed at. They only had the one album and like 3 episodes on HBO, so they knew that fans were chomping at the bit for more material. I mean, i know i was :P
