The Apocalypse

I want to know how you think the world will end and when. Do you think it will happen soon, maybe December 2012 as the Mayans have predicted, or is it still a long ways off? How will it happen? Do you think it'll be a giant flood, a nuclear war, the antichrist, aliens, ... zombies!? Personally, I hope it'll be a zombie massacre. Let me hear your thoughts and speculations. Anything goes.

It's not gonna happen in my lifetime, so I'm not gonna worry about it. :P

The apocalypse will occur when some idiot unleashes a virus that cripples the entire Internet and we all forgot how we lived without it. It will be like Y2K, only it will actually happen.

Yeah but a bunch of philosophers and scholars think that the end of the Mayan calendar might mark the end of all life, or a new era of realization for humans as you said.

Well, billions of years from now, the expansion of space will halt and gravity will snap it back inwards resulting in a massive cataclysm.

Increasing health problems due to diets and Western medicine. I'm at a point already where I'm seeing a difference between myself and people 5 years younger than me as far as their immune systems go.

I always wanted the Earth's core to explode, or I wanted the earth to somehow split in the mids so we'd be half plane, and the real fight would be how to get the thing to come back together.

I just want aliens really to come here and do some damage, sort of enlighten us. Or just tell us we were experimenta nd once they've gotten all they needed to know it was time to shut us down, and we fight them and maybe gain full control over our selves.

I think humanity will end when we all nuke ourselves.

This is quite theoretical but astronomers believe that in billions of years from now, the s­un will become a red giant, expanding to a size larger than the Earth's orbit and consuming the Earth in the process. Even if the planet somehow survives, the sun will eventually shrink, becoming a white dwarf and gradually cooling off until it can no longer warm anything in the solar system.

However we don't have to worry about that because it will happen only in a very very long time and I think humanity will be long gone or replaced till that happens.

The deathstar (or whatever it supposed to be called)will come out from behind Pluto and extinguish all life in this star system
