The apocalypse has happened

You're going to be living off long lasting food for years, going round with a hobo trolly, a camp kit and a pittance of a budget, what do you eat? Aside from other people.

Good choice. Works well as a snack, or a meal if you can find and boil some water.

Snares, deadfall traps, fishing (with a net, not for sport) and hunting are all viable options. Also, there's quite a bit of edible greens and roots local here.

Not that I expect a lot of competition from city slickers living on their ramens.

I'm fairly near the coast with lots of nearby lakes, rivers, and streams. Not many people around here either. Not sure why I'd bother with ramen when I could catch a nice trout, crab might be nice too.

Unless you and your food are in a self contained bunker it doesn't matter.

Wizards.

Pop Tarts. Sealed in mylar bags, they last forever. They also have a decent carb:protein:fat ration, and are vitamin fortified. So really they are a pretty good food in dire situations (sugar content is a bit high, but beggars can't be choosers).

yeah but if you caught one of those you'd have a years supply of crab meat.
