If you could choose 5 things to help you survive what would they be

Doesnt have to be realistic. Fallout 3 tech etc.

I would take

Military Forest Ghilie Suit

M4A1 SOPMOD

Tons of ammo

lots of Food rations & water

Compass.

complain about how back in my day doomsdays didn't leave survivors and kids these days have it easy.

I would collect all animals I could find, and slaughter one a day to survive off their meat. I would probably work on my blade skills so I don't have to worry about running out of bullets.

A map local enough to have a compass offset, a regional map and a continental map.

A compass.

Flint and steel kit.

Water flask.

Boot knife.

I'm gonna last a hell of a lot longer than you bastards who forgot to carry water.

Bare Knuckles. Cause I'm a badass. 8)

Chinese stealth armor

The silent running perk

No ammo required.

Buck knife.

Hunting rifle. Ammo.

Lighter, a few 9 volts, and some steel wool.

1 gallon jug of water.

Maybe some initial non-perishable foods.

- Blanket

- Water + Non-perishables

- Vitamins (So I can better manage my food/live for awhile without certain kinds)

- Acoustic guitar

- Lightsaber.

I would then drive to Nebraska to find a 108 year old lady who will have gathered others to survive against the last remnants of evil in the world.

Seeing as how any food or water would only delay the inevitable (my untimely demise), I would bring the following:

1. a reasonable caliber handgun

2. one bullet

3. my favorite meal in a tupperware container

4. a bottle of jack daniels

5. an iPod with every Justin Bieber song, in case I need some inspiration for my final act

It really depends what type of apocalypse where talking about... Nevertheless.

For any general situation:

- 1 bullet.

- a good caliber handgun.

- pure water, along with a ton my favorite snacks.

- the rest of the DUNE series I never got around to finishing.

- A brand-new sharpie marker.

I'm withJubino here, no apocalypse is worth living. While there are many types of apocalypses, generally is probably isn't worth it to try to survive.

My apocalyspe would be a zombie invasion

Radio w/ any equipment that would be need to send out a message

Water

Magnum

Food (Spam)

Any kind of heavy duty truck w/ fuel.

In addition to that, I'd take a small arsenal:

Benelli M4 Combat Shotgun

PSG1 Sniper Rifle

Beretta 96G-SD Handgun

KA-BAR Combat Knife

Pretty much all I'd really need. Handgun for close-mid range, the rifle for long range, the shotgun for close range situations where I'm panicking and the combat knife for utility and emergencies.

EDIT: Oh, right, and a compass for navigation. I can scavenge everything else I need along the way. And considering what movies tend to portray happens to female companions, I'd rather not have one traveling with me.

And making use of any stores orhousesas a resource for more food, water, or ammunition along the way.

Toilet paper will be a very valuable commodity
