Interesting thought that came into my mind. I was looking back at my posting history, and was consequently astounded at the progession I saw through the time I have been here(however long that has been). I look back at the wording, subject matter, etc. and am amazed at the diction level, concepts, and opinions I had at the time. I sometimes even question if that was really me writing. Obviously it was, but I sill find it hard to believe. Has anyone else looked back at their posting history? If so, what was the effect it had on you?

I don't think it's because I've gotten better at posting in forums, I think it's simply because I've grown up since 2004. But I know what you're talking about, I have thought the same thing about my old posts.

I used to have some good debates in the sports game discussion board and I would have these really long posts, I'm gonna check if I still have it and hopefully they didn't purge them

My posting history has not changed to much, besides the having to learn to always stay respectful even in the face of very snotty, veiled attacks. Remaining tactful, and civil can be a pretty significant challenge under certain conditions, but I would like to think I have come a long way in preserving a cool head and maintaining civility. That is the biggest difference in my posting history I can gather from looking back. Unfortunately, I grew up in a household where volume and intensity would defeat valid logic. Where bible-thumping was a way of life. Off topic, but when I was 9 years old, I stole a 25 cent pack of juicy fruit from a bookstore, my mom found out and made go back, apologize to the clerk, then when I got home she made me read the book of Psalms from the Bible. I know that nothing to do with anything really, but you must admit its better than 50 posts at least that say the same simple obvious statement. Your Welcome. :P

I can actually credit GS OT for opening my eyes to alternate perspectives and ideals which is always good in my book. There is alway much to learn. :D

The flavour of forum posting changes as fast as ephemeral pop-culture and site-ownership does, just as the political and commercial sentiment that the current owner/corporation in control adheres to.
