I normally have a bit of patience when it comes to movies, but The Assassination of Jessie James by the Coward Robert Ford is just as long and drawn out as the title would suggest. It is - by far - the most boring movie I've seen since The Deer Hunter.
I recommend the movie with an asterisk, that being the movie is very slow, but I did enjoy it very much. If you don't have patience for slow movies I would stay away.
its a so-so movie, the funny thing is that they consider ford a coward yet praise the coward that killed ford... people are messed up-DirtySanchez-
that's how it always is. if someone assassinates someone famous, the person who assassinates them is considered a hero. they might still get arrested, but they'll be a hero.

I agree with you about Jesse James movie but I loved The Deer Hunter.
Its a great film, yes long and drawn out but it keeps you unterested the whole time. A great plot and the acting is amazing, also the film just looks great, some scenes are jawdropping.

I agree with you about Jesse James movie but I loved The Deer Hunter.
I will grant The Deer Hunter the roulette scene, but everything else is pretty bland. The first hour in particular is pure torture - it's like watching someone's wedding and after-party footage while they hover behind you and make sure you don't fall asleep.
