In the book of Revelations it mentions The Beast out of the Sea and The Beast out of the Earth.

The Beast out of the Sea:

And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. He had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on his horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a a mouth like that of a lion.

The Beast out of the Earth:

Then I saw another beast, coming out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon.

My brother and father who are Christians interpret these " Beasts " as technology used in warfare, basically they're saying that the Beasts could be large warships, for example the best coming out of the sea with ten horns and seven heads, they think is like a huge warship. There are some other passages in Revelations that mention gaint locusts, which my bro and dad think is an interpration for a helicopter or fighter jet. And they say that people back then had never seen these things ( naval carriers, planes, tanks and such ) so this is how they interpreted it.

If you are a Christian how do you interpret these passages? Id like to hear what everyone says, regardless of faith or lack of faith for that matter. Chances are this is way too long and no one will probably read this, if you do, ty.

I am going to be serious: anythings possible. If you ask me, half the stuff in the bible are just metaphors, the same could easily go for the Book of Revelation.

Myths, that's all. Possibly originating in the hallucinations of some dude who was under the influence of some psychoactive substance.

The Book of Revelations might be literal. Read the King James Version of the Bible for the most accurate translation from the Old and New Testaments' original tongues.

I remember reading or watching something that said that the Beast of the land was the Anti Christ, and I forgot who the beast of the sea was.

Well as an orthodox thats the book we kind of put aside. But in all seriousness I have no idea who the beasts are, the book of revelation is probably one of hte most heavily Old testament reminescent books in terms of apocalyptic language and usage one would have to read and understand Daniel, jeremiah and the like before even attempting to understand this book. Then of course one has to understand the first century power structure and events that happened. It is a very hard book to interpret, nigh impossible for most I would suggest.
