So i am a recovering software/game pirate trying to go straight. I've had some bad karma through my pc, I've been getting a lot of virus's lately. I've watched what I've been downloading, nothing illegal or anything like that, and I still seem to get nasty ones. I used Malware Bytes and Antivir free edition, but they are not doing it for me. A lot gets past them both.

So i was wondering what can I get for cheap, I am looking to pay up to about 25 bucks at Best Buy, Target, Walmart, ect. Please dont say Norton or Mcaffe, they both ruined my pc many times and are just awful.

Any suggestions?

Avast would be the best one I have ever used. It can scan your computer before it boots up which allows it to delete anything it wants without trouble. Your best bet would be to just reformat though.

Avast is great but I use Comodo Firewall/Antivirus Suite. Gets all the job done and is light on resources.
