Dane CookDef_Jef88I honestly tried to watch him, but I just couldn't enjoy him. He comes off like an obnoxious frat boy.
Brian Regan, Jim Gaffigan, Demetri Martin, Lewis Black, Bill Cosby, Patton Oswald, and George Carlin.
EDIT: Can't forget Mitch Hedberg
Great comedians and the reasons that they're great. (In no particular order)
Lenny Bruce: One of the first comedians to push the boundaries of what someone can do in stand-up. Also one of the first comedians to be convicted of obsenity.
George Carlin: Famous for his routine "Seven Dirty Words", his take on a lot of taboo subjects has made him relevant and entertaining for over 40 years. Still of the best comedians living today.
Richard Pryor: This man has been the inspiration for a majority of the comedians working today. Probably the first one to take his personal life (the good, bad, and ugly) and turn it into comic gold.
That's my quick take.
I liked his style, kinda laid back. Shame he died too soon. Two Words; Mitch Hedberg. End of story.

"A severed foot is the ultimate stocking stuffer."
"When you go to a restaurant on the weekends and it's busy so they start a waiting list, they say, "Dufrenes, party of two, table ready for Dufrenes, party of two." And if no one answers they'll say the name again: "Dufrenes, party of two." But then if no one answers, they'll move on to the next name. "Bush, party of three." Yeah, but what happened to the Dufrenes? No one seems to care. Who can eat at a time like this? People are missing. You people are selfish. The Dufrenes are in someone's trunk right now, with duct tape over their mouths. And they're hungry. That's a double whammy. We need help. "Bush, search party of three. You can eat once you find the Dufrenes.""
"I'm against picketing, but I don't know how to show it."
[QUOTE="Hallenbeck77"][QUOTE="nickmag"]Ricky Gervais is some kind of demi-god in my books.nickmagHe does stand-up?Yus :D I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the clip and the heads-up. :D
I cant remember his name. But he's like 30-something, but looks older, he's balding, and did a video basing Emo-Screamo bands called "Metal by Numbers" dj_pulserfan
I can't really pick the best, but I'm a fan of Louis C.K., David Cross and Dave Attell.

Bill Hicks was the greatest to ever live...nobody else can compare.Hexum-311
I would tend to agree. Bill Hicks was definitely one of a kind.
I hate dane cook.mark4091
Thank you. I'm glad there are others out there that don't get him. I think he's the worst to ever call himself a "comedian".
