If you like one, chances are you'll like the other, but which do you prefer?

I think The IT Crowd has its moments. It's not as good as Graham Linehan's other work (ie. Father Ted and Black Books) but it's still quite decent.
The Big Bang Theory, on the other hand, I cannot watch for more than 2 minutes before the urge to kill rises.
Both are about equal though i like them for different reasons. The IT Crowd may have the slight advantage as i've got quite a bit of experience of the sort of things some people ask about tech, even though the internet in a box was exaggerated i can completely believe that there are people around who think the internet is in a box locked up in some military facility.markop2003Did you ever have to say "have you turned it off and on again" :P
Its Sheldon isnt it? :lol:I think The IT Crowd has its moments. It's not as good as Graham Linehan's other work (ie. Father Ted and Black Books) but it's still quite decent.

The IT crowd by far. Unlike The Big Bang Theory it's actually funny, and it has Chris Morris, and Matt Berry.

I love Matt Berry – there's something disarmingly odd about him that makes him hilarious. I think he may be his voice. Speaking of Chris Morris have you checked out Nathan Barley? I rewatched that last night for the first time in years. You see so many of those people in a place called Shoreditch in London :P

It's everyone. They all suck in equal measure. :P

I heard Nathan barley wasnt as good as Chris morris' other work like Jam, and Brass Eye, but I was still curious to see it.
BBT is somewhat discreditablewith it's blatant stereotyping. I occasionally watch it and often shake my head at how blatantly, ignorantly, and forcefully the show tries to get it's ideas across. It can be funny at times, but more often than not, I am left wondering what the producers were thinking.

Knowing you like Chris I would highly recommend it - not as good Brass Eye (mind you not many TV shows are), but its certainly more accessible than Jam. Good cast and some very funny moments...
I'm a nerd and I don't get any of the jokes of the big bang theory. It's not funny at all. I guess it was made particularly for jocks who'd sit infront of the TV and Go, "Ha ha nerds".
IT crowd is genuinely funny, most jokes are really true. Especially the "turn it off and on again" I have had to say that line one too many times.
I like TBBT. I've never heard of IT.Genetic_CodeIt's a British show, you have to watch it on Youtube or another site of your choosing.
Never heard of the IT Crowd. I guess I'll check it out. I love Big Bang and The League as my 2 favorite comedies.
Sheldon is the only funny element on Big Bang Theory, all the other characters are lame and cringe worthy. They only exist for Sheldon to riff on.
The I.T. Crowd is amazing and one of my favorite shows. Grahram Linehan (creator) has made some other really great shows as well, Black Books, Father Ted, and others. He is brilliant.
That's like asking which is better, a beautiful diamond or the mess on the inside of my toilet bowl.
IT crowd is much better
The Big Bang Theory is the best TV ever created peroid. I have seen every episode literally five times or more, I just love it. I relate to Sheldon so well
Please feel free to make a new thread instead of bumping an old one. Thanks!I'm a nerd and I don't get any of the jokes of the big bang theory. It's not funny at all. I guess it was made particularly for jocks who'd sit infront of the TV and Go, "Ha ha nerds".
