I often talk to a lot of theists and they all feel the need to tell me that I believe something came from nothing, which is the complete OPPISITE of the big bang and evolution. In reality I have NEVER meet someone that believe this, not even an atheist!

What's up with this!?

It's called a strawman fallacy, instead of actually arguing the point they create their own and argue that.

Either the universe is oscillating or it was created. Take your pick. There's about the same amount of evidence.

You're making the assumption that either is true....

Doesn't have to be created by God.

It seems equally logical and equally illogical to me for a Creator to exist, but at the same time I can't imagine existence not coming from a force, if not intelligent, at the very least sentient.

This argument never gets resolved because neither person engaged in the argument ACTUALLY knows the real answer. I respect science far more for being able to admit that it doesn't know than I do the religious when they try to tell me they've known all along...especially considering all of the things they have been wrong about so far.

Flat earth, geocentric universe, disease caused by demons, etc. etc.
