I loved them. They were written by a 15-year-old, so I give him some slack with errors. The story is great, in my opinion, and dragons are always awesome.

I found a copy of The Fountainhead in a library. I liked it, though I am slightly biased, so I'm not surprised that I didn't love it. . .:P

I just about never read novels. I'm really into guides about how something works, history books, and documentaries and the like. Right now I'm reading "Idiot's Guide to Psychology" and "Being Logical", both from the library.

Yeah that was a good book as well.

I hear they're making that into a movie, but "they" have been saying that for a while :(

They said that about Contest as well. Well, based on my experience from book-to-movies *cough Eragon cough* it would probably turn out bad anyways.

Sorry Contest was the movie I was thinking of haha. I think this one would have turned out great, Eragon is fantasy and a little harder to make into movie form.

Yes but the producers did not stick to the plot at all really. If they're just making Eragon then fine but if they are making Eldest as well they're stuffed lol

I DO read a lot of books, but I don't read a book based on genre- the author is the most important factor.

I'm assuming most GS subscribers only care for sci-fi and fantasy.

For sci-fi I like Asimov, Iain Banks, and Phillip K. Dick

Fantasy, other than Tolkein, maybe Guy Gavriel Kay.

As for other genres, I like James Patterson, Ken Follet, Sara Gruen, Paulo Coelho....

Michael Crichton, J.K. Rowling, Orson Scott Card... to name a few of my favorite authors...

EDIT: oh yeah duh! I forgot to mention Garth Nix, Chuck Palahniuck, and Stephen King!

Oh and some offhand books I've really enjoyed are:

Memoirs of a Geisha(100000 times better than movie)

and Falling Leaves. :)
