I don't watch television, but if there's two shows that I can't miss it's both of these political spoof shows. I find them hilarious. But which one is the best?

At first I liked The daily show more, but now I'm liking the other one better. Why? I hate the daily shows "political correspondants." It's by far the worst possible comedy that I can possibly watch. They're not funny, and cheaply produced. Plus Steve Colbert is just ridicilous.

So who's your pick?

How can you not like John Oliver? Though me may not be a political correspondent. But I used to unequivocally like Colbert Rwport but I'm at the point where I can't say one is better than the other. They Re like two sides of the same coin. Jon Stewart is good for a real intellectual like comedy and Colbert for a pure stupid satirical stance.

Neither of them are funny. They just misrepresent current events to try to make liberals look good.

I used to like Stewart a little more but he uses the same style of joke over and over and though funny, it's also predictable. Thats what i like about colbert that in a way it too is predictable, it is also far more goofy and hysterical when you can see colbert cant even keep a straight face. As long as you arent a die hard republican, both shows are great and i hardly miss an episode.

haven't watched either lately, but The Daily Show's better Colbert may be the funnier guy overall though

You should have chosen the 4th option in my poll "Bill O' Reilly, because I'm a christian, conservative, lunatic."

It is presumptuous to assume that anyone who is not a liberal is a christian lunatic.

I don't know if he's a Christian or not, but from what I've seen of him in another thread, he's definitely a rightwing chucklehead.

I agree that Stewart has gotten stale and predictable over the past year or so.

What I'm disliking a bit about Stewart is that he's excessivly laughing at his own jokes. He used to do that before, but not as often. Also his interviews have stopped being funny, he used to be so critical and funny during them, but now they seem like any other late night interview.

Stewart has gotten a little more serious and thrown the more comical stuff towards his corespondents. His best bit, but now overused is when he talks about how there is no way they are going to do something and then play a video that has them talking about about what they are going to do. It was great the first few times, but now it's nearly the only thing he does. I guess we will get to see how his replacement does while he is doing his movie for 2 months. I will say that his debate with O'Reilly was fantastic, it's just that he has let his comedic side get stale.

Whoops lol. I agree. Jon has good correspondents. Honestly, I wish John Oliver would just take over, as he is for a few months soon.

Both are great, I haven't been watching em as much lately as I wished though.  Colbert is hard to top though and I'd have to go with him.  I've seen Jon Stewart's stand-up act in person though and it's also damn good as is his show.

Ever since Jon Stewart stopped using his writers the show has gone downhill, just a bunch of rehashed Jew/New York jokes. I just watch the Colbert Report now.

Colbert.

Used to love them both but Johnny boy's been a little bit stale for a while, sadly. Still, John has had tons of moments on and off the show that will always have a place in my heart and in my laughter.

Daily Show and Colbert Report are both equally good, more respect for Steven Colbert for always staying in his satirical character.

Colbert because he clearly knows his show is a comedy. The Daily Show tries to be too serious.
