"High Tension" was pretty creepy. The first half of Stephen King's "It" is up there too.

I didnt like "it", the story was kinda bad and the acting was awful... it felt like a low budget movie. And the only creepy part of  "it" was the clown.

High tension was a good movie but not great, I couldnt understand the movie when the plot was revealed. Like how could she drive 2 cars, chase oneself etc. The movie didnt make any sense.

"High Tension" was meant to be taken symbolically way more than it was literally. You could argue that she never even drove the yellow car and the truck was real, but then that begs the question of where the truck came from in the first place; which in it's own right could be from anywhere. "It" was a low-budget 1980's horror movie. And the ending with the giant bug/alien was lame. The clown though, is one of the creepiest characters of all time. I'd also venture out and put "Poltergeist" up there on the creepy list.

One Hour Photo, wow. I saw wound up watching that late on HBO at night in the kitchen just for the hell of it. The scene where he randomly gouges out his eyes... damn. "Aguirre, the Wrath of God", I just caught this flick in my Euro. Cinema class and the ending is probably the creepiest one I've watched in awhile. And it doesn't help that the whole movie has no music soundtrack until the end.

Cannibal Holocaust wasn't as much creepy as it was awfully disgusting and disturbing.  Rosemary's Baby bored the hell out of me, but The Descent was pretty good; one of the best horror movies of the last few years.

Actually, now that you mention it, alot of Kubrick's later work was just plain creepy. Clockwork, Full Metal Jacket, Eye's Wide Shut.. all three were very creepy in there own right.

Battle Royale was creepy? I've seen it nine times and neither time was creepy. The only remotely creepy part was when Kiriyama was blinded by the bomb and his eyes were all cuckoo.

If only Battle Royale didnt have a sugar coated ending, it wouldve been a great movie.

The part in the original The Shining when Danny is peddling down the hall and he sees those two little girls... then it like flashes and they're all maimed and in pieces and there's blood all over the place, then it flashes again, and they're standing there normally. And then it's all "Come play with us, Danny... forever... and ever... and ever *flashes to horrible death bloody gore* and ever..." BLAH!

irreversible, inland empire, the shining.
however, in my opinion, the mos disturbing image in the history of cinema is this:

it's from un chien andalou, which was made in 1928.

The little girl at the beginning made me want to kill my sister to prevent her from killing me first. Then I realized that I don't have a sister, so I didn't. Clockwork was actually a lot creepier. They drank milk and went out attacking people for no good reason. I guess my understanding of creepy differed from others'.

I dont really watch creepy movies but I heard Un chien andalou in the film opens with a seen of a women eyes slit by a razor. Actually they made a song about that one part maybe you heard of Debaser.
