The Daily Show is one of the best shows on television right now.

I'm watching a re-run of today's episode right now and after the first bit i was almost in tears.

John Stewart, who i love, hilarious and intelligent, did an entire segment on Fox News being COMPLETELY hypocritical and biased.

My personal favorite was he showed them during the bush administration bashing liberals for not supporting the president in war times, and showed them doing exactly that with Obama.

I really wish i had a link so people who missed it could see it but seeing as it just aired at 11 i doubt it's anywhere yet.

I'd love for an opportunity to see a hard-core conservative who thinks Fox News is a god send to watch that segment and try and rationalize any of it.

And i'm not even very interested in polotics.

I've never liked The Daily Show or The Colbert Report. I really don't like Jon Stewart, but I don't mind Stephen Colbert.

Colbert is infinately better.

Stewart is a smug unfunny douche who just happens to have a great writing staff.

Agree with TC, Stewart is hilarious. Colbert is a close second though.

I think that Jon Stewart is kind of obnoxious and not very funny, so I have a hard time appreciating his show. Stephen Colbert is occasionally pretty funny, but I can't bring myself to watch his show often. I just can't get into those shows. I mostly find them annoying.

I agree; It's a great show. Colbert is funny as well. John's interview a couple episodes back with the actor who plays Tobias Funke on Arrested Development was hilarious! Those two really had great chemistry.

Yup. People get arrested for wearing protest t-shirts when Bush is around, but when it's Obama, hey, let's bring some automatic weapons. No problem. I'm sure there was probably about half a dozen Secret Service agents with their hand on the trigger within close proximity to each of these attention whore nut jobs, at least if they were still around when the Obama got there.

i used to like colbert more than stewart, about a year ago, stewart used to be very stale, but he turned around. stewarts material is bttr than colberts, but colbert as a person is way funnier. but i enjoy daily show more now because colbert sometimes gets a bit too silly, and i actually enjoy stewarts ( mostly serious) interview, over colberts interviews in which he these days tends to joke soo much the person hardly even gets to talk about what they are there for, and sometimes the person is someone very interesting that id like to hear speak.

I don't think the Daily Show is very funny, John Stewart is an liberal that talks about things and makes jokes liberals with find funny. Stephen Colbert on the other hand may be the funniest guy on TV.

you know colbert is liberal too right...? stewart says things how they are, its not his fault that republicans / fox news make fools of themselves more than democrats / liberals / cnn. altho he does bash liberals / democrats / cnn as well, just not as much me and my friends watch the O'reily reruns at 2 am for fun, because they are usually soo funny.

You realize that Stewart and Colbert deliver the exact same messages with their jokes right? They're both liberal, they just make their liberal jokes in different ways. Stewart's jokes are straightforward whereas Colbert uses satire to mock conservatives.

That's what makes Colbert funny, because he imitates a conservative so well, but at the same time shows how ridiculous some of there views are.

Rupert Murdoch does not give a crap about politics- if he thought that a left-wing channel would make money for him, he would be all for it, but the problem is, Left-Wingers aren't interested in bogus propaganda tactics, they are only interested in real issues, and do not care for flimsy media manipulation. In other words, playing fair is not nearly as effective as playing dirty, and this is why the average American IGNORAMUS thinks Socialized Medicine is a "bad thing"...dumb clowns...

Yes it is. I've been watching The Daily Show quite a lot lately, and I must say I find it funnier when he can make CNN, MSNBC, and FOX all look dumb at the same time then just attacking FOX. The thing he did about the polls yesterday was great.
