So I've got my test for my license today and though I'm a really good driver, I think I'm going to fail solely because of the parallel parking and reverse parking tests... Did anybody not pass these two but still get there license?

Parallel parking wasn't even a part of my drivers training.

Dude. parallel parking is easy. Just make sure to pull up exactly next to the cones, cut it all the way, then halfway through cut it the other way all the way. Also, remember to put the parking break on when you stop, and to take it off.

I almost screwed up on reverse parking but managed to save myself. So yeah reverse parking seemed to be important for me and alot of my friends who took their test. Also yeah if you do mess up major you can fail. If its like not being close enough to the curb or something, then they usually let you off.

I hit the curb on my first parallel park but he gave me a second chance. Luckily, I did it perfect the second time.

Oh man that did help a whole lot thanks. Now that I think about it other than the few attempts I gave, I've never seen a parallel park in my life.

well it's not too good for me.

I'm either going to be in my 1990 Chevorlet Blazer with older style steering and cable brakes and gas, or my dad's 2003 GMC Envoy SLE which is Effing huge.

Well update: I failed.

Looks like the Jack was a good idea. Should have used it.

I really flipped out on the instructor. I mean, who fails with a 74/75 honestly?

Just make sure you drive slow. At least 5 below the speed limit.

Actually after watching that youtube video I got that down, and that was the only thing I did perfectly. But I didn't know I had to signal for and coming out of the parallel park and I almost got completly failed for that. I was failed because I didn't "watch my mirrors" at all stops, but I find it odd to be able to tell somebody's eye movements when you're sitting beside them.

You didn't pass because you missed one point? I'm sorry. I think I failed like two or three things and still passed.

Lame. I guess next time, make VERY exaggerated head movements.

that definatly wasn't what I did. I thought it woudld be best to maintain a perfect speed which is what I was attempting at the speed limit. and I did go over alot.

Yeah same here. The second time I took the test I just made sure I went really slow. It sucked but at least I passed.

Just relax. If you fail, you fail, and you practice what you are weak on. However, if you're this unsure about passing, maybe you didn't practice enough.

thats pretty crappy dude. I failed my first time because of speeding, and i knew it.

Instructor "you know how fast you're going", "yep".

Instructor, "do you know what the speed limit is", "yep". lol. no word of a lie.

anyway, go slow, and always move you're head, as you will soon learn. Mirrors DO NOT always work by themselves. but for failing cause of one point. thats BS

You have nothing to be nervous about so don't be nervous.
