Proven how short our attention span have become or the how media thinks of the public at least... ! Seriously, this is so wrong.
LOL. It seems like that doesn't it? If you thought the title wasn't completely stupid or disrespectful, you might think that for a moment.So.....Charlie Sheen is being investigated as the cause of the earthquake then?
LostProphetFLCL
It's obvious that people get dumber every day...
Just so long as you ignore all the statistical data and evidence to the contrary.

Well I didn't read the article but it COULD be the case.
Sheen was going on about winning. Maybe this is what he meant by winning? Perhaps he has waged his own personal war against Japan and kicked it off with an earthquake.
It ism't too farfetched to think that he could have snorted a mountain of coke and then came up with some diabolical plan...
Some of the comments people are leaving on the youtube videos of japan are so terrible.Massive earthquake in Japan...Police at Sheen's house"

Uh, are there any other stories there that deserve to be in the headline more?
Have you really not figured out before now that half the news is always tabloid stuff?
Had you actually read the article that you posted, you'd realize that they are just combining headlines. This isn't something new. The article itself isn't even an article, just a collection of the days top stories. That's all. How you get " the dumbing down of America" from that is beyond me.

You do agree that Charlie Sheen being a "top story" is a bit preocuppying (sic) though, right?

Well, for one thing that has nothing to do with the earthquake, and for another thing America is not the only country obsessed with celebrities.[QUOTE="TehOverkill"][QUOTE="elblanquito_81"]

Well, for one thing that has nothing to do with the earthquake, and for another thing America is not the only country obsessed with celebrities.I never said it was exclusive to the U.S. or that it dumbed it down, but it is preocupying regardless. I can assure you that we don't have as much focus on celebrities on our main news vehicles here, in Brazil.

... IF it gets them ratings, they have every right to show it.. Sheen wouldn't be on headline news if people had no interest in him.

Which makes TCs point even more evident. Although this happens in every country. I think we are witnessing the stupidization of the human race.[QUOTE="sSubZerOo"][QUOTE="TehOverkill"]

There are numerous fans of these people and who have seen in him movies and what not.. It effects them far more directly than say the earth quake in Japan does.
yeah, godzilla eas in his underwater cave, and saw that he was fired from 2 and a half men. he punched the wall and devasted japan again.So.....Charlie Sheen is being investigated as the cause of the earthquake then?

I think we're just seeing normal human cognitive biases and calling it stupidity.

I was only trolling a bit :P. The earthquake is obviously big news and a horrible tragedy. But I've had quite a fun time following the Sheen stories over the last couple of weeks.
The lines on his table could be mistaken for shifting fault lines.So.....Charlie Sheen is being investigated as the cause of the earthquake then?

The fact that it gets enough ratings to get them to put it in the same headline as an 8.9M earthquake shows what the OP means by the dumbing down of America.Massive earthquake in Japan...Police at Sheen's house"

It is a clever headline that went over your head. You know kinda like a wave?

Nothing new really, they are the kind of people who get satisfaction in saying such hateful things and knowing they won't be reprimanded due to their anonimity. Trully they are cowards if any have ever existed.
WINNING!!!!!So.....Charlie Sheen is being investigated as the cause of the earthquake then?

Yeah I know Japan had a big wave but they didn't explain much about what's going on with Charlie Sheen!

Do I have to explain EVERYTHING to you simpleminded people; I can't believe you didn't see the correlation. Charlie Sheen CAUSED the earthquake, that's why police were at his door! Please Log In to post.
