That's really exaggeratinig a lot of things. I don't think that specific economic crises like that article mentions are the ones to do us in. It's mostly just that we're all in debt up to our eyeballs and are not doing anything but taking out more loans to prevent judgement day. America does not produce enough to stay as wealthy as it currently is has been my opinion since before this 'mortage crisis'.

As long as there are people, there will be capitalism in one form or another. It's natural.

Yes it is. People trade things. Well as far as civilization is concerned. I suppose you could make one of the "force" arguments.

No.

All I've heard for weeks from the media and from friends is that the economy is going to hell, and we're in for another great depression, and it's just a bunch of irrational alarmist bullcrap, perpetuated by the popular media.

We live in a loop. The media says that the economy is dying, people get scared and stop buying stuff, and then the media reports the public's reaction as if they had nothing to do with it.

It's all reactionary garbage.

Too true, people have been spouting this **** for decades. The reason it's so widespread now is because the media finally picked it up.

GLOBAL CAPITALIST

Dada is an activist, writer and monk who believes in Prout (Progressive Utilization Theory), which preaches economic self-reliance and the good and happiness of all living beings. We don't have that with a global capitalist system based on profit, selfishness and greed, with the world's richest 52 people hoarding $1 trillion US in wealth, while 2.8 billion live on less than $2 a day.

There are too many greedy people hoarding too much money. All for what? so that it can sit in their bank accounts and gain interest? what about when there is no more money; when it has all been hoarded? not likely.

We are all going to have to begin living as we did a hundred years ago. Forget electricity, forget cellphones, forget all of our conveniences. If you can't come to grasp that, then Darwinism will have it's way with you and it won't be your way. I have begun to make mental preparations. This may take five years, but five years is not very long.

I would also like to say that the Earth can NOT support seven and a half BILLION people. If humans are to prosper, a mass slaughter must occur. Whether it be of human doings or Nature's doings, the number of humans on this planet must be drastically reduced.

The most efficient way to live, is to live how the North American natives did. Nothing goes to waste

Good Luck.

... and this is why I visit this forum less and less every day. Leave your computer and see how the real world works on occasion. Overpopulated? Yes, but that doesn't mean we need mass slaughter.

Buddy, you don't even know me. I probably have acheived more than you will know. I am smart, I am educated and I am out in the real world all week. I'm sorry my choice of words have offended you (Mass Slaughter), but if you can't see that a lot of humans need to die, then you are crowded and bunched with the rest of the sheep awaiting slaughter.

Don't be afraid of death, it's only natural.

The point where Capitalism ends, is the point where society restarts. It could very well end, but staying at an end I just don't see.

Well if people need to die, how about you kill yourself and i'll follow the example a couple of decades later?

Homeostasis. Look it up. EVERY natural system (human population is a closed system) has built in regulation. When we become overpopulated, populations will be controlled by space, food supply and disease. We don't need to be deciding who we're going to kill, nature has far better control systems than any organization of people will ever come up with.

You're right death is NATURAL, we don't need to be deciding who dies and who lives.
