I think you mean a London english accent, not a Northern English accentPerilousWolf
The media associates certain accents as more "sophisticated" or more 'uneducated' (ie. English accent vs Southern accent). It doesn't really mean anything, judging someone based off of their accent is pretty silly, almost as bad as racism.Kritical_Strike
To start things off, let's say I'm not advocating that people with an English accent are smarter or more informed than people with other accents, that would be silly.
However,I do find that when just listening to a voice I tend to naturally find the English accent more...authoritative. I know it's a pointless thought, but I tend to take what someone says more seriously if they have this accent, than, lets say, a heavy southern accent. Not to discriminate or anything,I will take all the information in,but for some reason I find that someone speaking with a nice English accent to be more enjoyable and therefor take what they say more seriously. I'm talking more about a professor or someone generally speaking on an important topic.
So my question is,what about you? Do you feel more interested when some speaks in an English accent? Or am I simply insane with love for the way they speak?

Yahtzee (Zero Punctuation guy) has one hell of an accent. Definetly supports what you said lol.
EDIT: Basically, he's British born, and lives in Australia, and has picked up on both accents, so his accent is very strong, there's more Brit in him, but, the AU is in there, and it's the "icing" on his accent cake.
