... of time perspective? A new professor released an animated drawing slideshow of what he believes is the root of all our problems. He argues that each and every one of us live in 1 of 3 "time" perspectives, either past, present, or future oriented.

It's a really awesome vid, so I thought I'd share. :P

This is really fascinating. I just read an article about how many scientists are finding out that Time is not only NOT something fundamental to the Universe, but it may not exist at all outside the perception of moving bodies. Also, in some of the spiritual books I've read, it's talked about how Time doesn't exist except for a single moment in which all of Life unfolds in. In fact I'll just let the Article speak for itself.

That was a good article!

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you have to subscribe to see the full article. It's almost 5 pages and it goes into much greater depth than that one page. I recommend reading it if you get chance ;) :).

Very interesting. I thoroughly disagree with his assessment that videogames are ruining our ability to learn from classrooms though :? I've played tonnes of videogames and perform perfectly well in a classroom. He also gives information that only applies to very and claims it's true of all males. He says that by 21 boys have spent at least 10,000 hours playing videogames, more than that watching porn and have learnt no social skills. Not that it's true of a small minority, that it's true in general which is obviously a retarded thing to say.

No, I don't think there's any "simple answer" to the root of problems. I think it just really is the chaotic mess we don't want it to be.

Well I think he was using the video game thing to make the point that conventional way of teaching is no longer going to work. Which I agree with, the generations are changing man! :P

I largely agreed with him though there are a few statements he made that I thought were only partially true.
