Dad bought him a $5 guitar --> Played guitar in the Army and met a lifelong friend --> Played the "Chitlin" Circuit in and around Nashville with various artists including the Isley Brothers --> got a gig playing for Little Richard --> started his own band with some English dudes called The Experience --> played the Monterey Pop Festival where he burned his guitar in sacrifice --> Played and toured with the likes of Pink Floyd, Cream, The Who, The Beatles and others --> Played a little event called Woodstock where he performed his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner --> Band became known as Gypsy Sun and Rainbows --> played Isle of Wight festival --> died on September 18th, 1970

4 years, 4 studio albums

Psychedelic waves permeating the fabric of space-time, crashing into convention and mutating the genes of music, all emanating from the epicenter known as

James "Jimi" Marshall Hendrix

Everyone did.

Not those that grew up in the 60's/70's who were surrounded by great artists such as Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath.

theirs is bad music in every decade and every year, the thing is we forget more and more bands as time goes on, so only the amazing ones are still remembered, the farther back you go the better it seems because you dont know / cant remember the mainstream garbage of the time. of course rock really started and got good in the 60's/ 70's so were not going to look at the 40's / 50's cuz all of that was just crap.

but for example we feel that now sucks for the most part, the 90's were better, and the 80's better than that...

There's more bad music being made now... but that's only because the industry is more accessible... there's still excellent stuff coming out... and it's really annoying to hear people say all of today's music sucks.. you just gotta sift through more and more crap, but it's there... In fact, I think music is just getting better and better... if I had to pick music from one decade, I'd go with this one... no question about it...

Well yeah more of the stuff today does suck, but the trick is to dig deeper rather than grabbing all this mainstream crap being put out. Look for bands that are usually underrated.

In my expieriance its always the de-eveolution of my favorite band. Anytime that classic bad-ass album is released, and you can't wait for the follow up, when they finally release it, its garbage. Take 10 years for example. Their last album the Autumn Effect was great, but their follow up albumsucked donkey balls.
