Phillies take out the Dodgers for the second straight year, on the way back to the World Series, and most likely on the way to face the Yanks. Bring 'em on. Gotta play the best to be the best.
GO PHILLIES!!

this is Baseball though, ANYTHING is possible. Look at both Yankee World Series losses this decade. They were supposed to win both of them , but lost.yanks are taking though

After the Rockies and Twins were eliminated this officially became the most boring post-season in decades.
By process of elimination of the teams I hate, I have no choice but to root for you guys. I want to go at least 10 years without the Yanks winning anything, so don't screw this up!
I'm so damn proud of this team. Now it's just time to finish the job. I went absolutely bananas last year when they won it, after watching the nucleus grow into world champions. This year I'll go even crazier if they win it back to back. I think they have a great shot. Our hitters are just as dangerous as the Yankees(Assuming they finish the job) It won't be easy, but I have full confidence in the Broad Street Bullies to bring home another one8)-Halftime-The Broad Street Bullies were the 1970s Flyers.

LOL
Rockies vs. Twins would have been the LOWEST RATED TV EVENT EVER.
Seriously - Shamwow infomercials would get higher ratings then that matchup.
I hope Pedro Martinez BLANKS the Yankees and then in the post-game interview says, "I'm your daddy Yankee fans."
I'm not a fan of the Phillies, but I HATE the yankees... so please beat them... unless the Angels come back and win the ALCS, then I would want the Angels to win... CyleMPretty much. A Dodgers vs. Yankees would be my hell WS. Hate the Yankees cause they're obviously huge rivals, and hate the Dodgers cause that's where we traded Manny (hated him when he quit on the team, hate him even more now that he did roids).
I know. They're going to win two World Series's in a row. Than all of Philadelphia celebrates for several days.
I hate the Yanks but they're going to wreck Phillie, like actually just wreck them,if this series go more than 5 games I'll be shocked.Scooter540
I don't think the Yank's will win. the only thing about the Phil's is their pitching isn't the greatest. Yanks have better closers than the Phil's, but the Phil's have a lot to prove. Last year was a boring WS's.Although my Phil's did win the Ray's didn't really put up much of a fight. I'm hoping for two World Series wins for my Phil's:D
*sigh* As a Mets fan I don't know what to do. I can't root for the Phillies in the WS, and it looks like the Yankees are probably going to advance - but I can't root for them either. All I can do right now is pray that the Angels stage a glorious comeback in the ALCS, and then carry that momentum into the WS and beat up on the Phillies. -Sun_Tzu-
What's more satisfying for a Mets fan I guess? A Phillies Loss? Or a Yankees Loss?
If the Yankees lose, Mets fans can feel better about not being the ONLY chokers in NY.
If the Phillies win, then they can atleast say they play in the same division as the 2-time World Champs and that road to the World Series goes through the NL East.
I would root for the Phillies if I were you, but either way - it doesn't matter. The Mets are a dead as long as Omar is running the show.

That's how the Stanley Cup was for me...I absolutely hate the Penguins (I go to school in Pittsburgh and have to listen to their fans all the time), but I also didn't want to see the Red Wings win.

I'm aware of that, but I've taken to calling the Phils that this year:P

same here. Absolutely can't stand the Pens as a Flyers fan. The Stanley Cup Playoffs for the past two years were almost unwatchable for me. Hang in there..Last night was awesome. Can't wait to see game two.

another nite full of great pitching, but sadly the Phils and Yanks are now tie. let's hope having home field advantage helps the Phils in the next three games. AJ Burnett pitched quite well. so didPedro, but AJ's pitching was comparable to Lee's from game one. i have to laugh at how Alex Rodriguez is 0 for 6 this world series. CHOKE  that comment will come back to bite me in the @$$.
