At least some of these I have a sneaking suspicion that they are entirely intentional (especially the Skywalkers/Han Solo one, no way the editor writing that headline wasn't giggling for a week thereafter), but these are awesome nonetheless.GabuExMy English (and Journalism) teacher used to write for the county paper as well as many other magazines. She told us the editors on every single staff she was on tried to pass jokes for headlines pretty frequently, whether it be something like this or ridiculous alliterations or puns, so this doesn't really surprise me in the least.
I don't know what's funnier. The fact they spelled it Missippi, the fact that batman then spelled it wrong when trying to correct them, or the fact that he capitalized his error (thinking it was correct) in an attempt to be funny.my favorite was the a-rod one and the missiSippi one(s is capitalized for a reason)

Nice find. My favourite is still from a newspaper in 1966 who printed convicted murderer James French's final wordsas the headline. He said "Hows this for a headline? French Fries" and the newspapers lead with "French Fries" for the headline ...
That reminds me of the thing from John Oliver's Stand Up Show: convicted serial killer from the 20s named (something) Apple was about to be fried, and his last words were "well, gentlemen, you're about to see a baked Apple".Nice find.
