Never seen it.

I couldn't be bothered to sit through it. I got bored after about 20 minutes. Movies in general bore me though. I like something a little more interactive.

I think its superb if you dont like it its fine though we all have different tastes. Just im sorry if I come off as an elitist or something but the Godfather is FILM and is ART, movies like tramsformers are good popcorn MOVIES but will be forgotten over time most likely. It just depends on your expectations on going to a film. Do you want nothing more then entertainment and a distraction or do you want to put more into it. Neither is really better then the other.

I've watched it once. Cant say I would rent it or buy it. If it was on tv (which it is almost every freaking day), I will watch it if nothing else is on or I am tryiing to get a nap in. I'm not a fan either.

I think it's the all time greatest piece of american cinema. You're arguement sounds just like that family guy episode where peter says he didn't care for the movie and the whole family gangs up on him because it's just simply impossible not to like that movie. But we all have our opinions:D

Lemmie ask you this question though, did you enjoy goodfellas or casino?

My guess is that you just don't enjoy mafia dramas, at least that's how it sounds to me. So did u watch Donnie Brasco or Gotti?

Godfather 1 and 2 are my all time favorite movies. it must be a matter of taste but i have yet to find someone who didn't like the godfather that watched it the whole way through. It is long,i admit that, but it is worth the long run time.

The people that I know IRL that don't like it, prefer movies like 300.

Enough said.

Obviously it's one of the greatest movie ever made. There is little who will debate that. The film is a true piece of art. People who don't like it are just too simple minded (nice for "idiots") or young to understand the complex plot, and appreciate the writing, acting, directing, etc. Judging from your post, I'm guessing that you're one of the two... if you are just too young for it, watch it again in five-ten years, if you don't like it then, well, I've got some bad news for you.

Best super long movie ever made. I love it! :) My favorite part is when that one dude goes into the bar, and the guy grabs his hand, and quickly takes out a knife to stab in him in the hand. :D

What does that have to do anything? You may mind this shocking, but a majority of actors don't write and direct the movies they star in.

Because there's something seriously wrong with you, it's like if people are alcoholics and they wonder why everyone cares so much when they have a few drinks. Help me help you!

Any generation can get something out of the Godfather... there really is something for everybody.

It's been my favorite movie of all time for about 15 years now.. and I still can't watch it without finding something new that I like about it. I think that's the beauty of it... it continually amazes me how perfect that movie really is.

So yeah. Anyway, it's definitely possible to love this movie as a kid, but I think as you get older... you develop more of an appreciation for the films subtle details that you just didn't catch on your previous viewing.

My opinion at least.

I'm reading the book now. The movie is absolutely beautiful, and it's very complex in what it's saying and how it says it. It says mostly true to the book and even is more elaborate in some ways--ways I consider to be some of the film's best touches.

I love it, Marlon Brando's performance as Vito is in my opinion the greatest in the history of film. His conversation with the undertaker at the start of the film is untouchable.

In spite of the long run time it feels half as long as Jury Duty or Son-in-Law.
