Well, they're the only government branch that has been voting themselves pay raises over the last 2o years while simultaneously cutting other public workers pay and benefits. Go congress!

Some countries are like that too.. In Singapore, guns are illegal for everyone (even if I have a gun license from another country), but the ministers' bodyguards carry fully automatic rifles.

This happens all over the world. In Australia politicians routinely raise their own salaries and benefits. In the UK, well you had the MP expenses scandal.
