That's right. The Lion King

Will you be seeing this? Admittedly, although this is my favorite movie, I won't be seeing it in theaters because I won't pay for a movie I already own.

What say you, OT?

I won't be seeing it because I'm a grown ass man. That and while I enjoyed it as a kid these days I'm aware that all Disney did was plagiarize Kimba the White Lion and give it updated art and music (they were so lazy they didn't even bother to come up with a new name for the main character. All they did was change the first letter).

i have fond memories of that movie. my parents let me and my brother go see that movie by ourselves( well not really they were in another theater a few theaters down but still). we were so excited because we felt like grown up. he was 11 and i was 6 at the time. me and my brother plan on seeing it again. that was an epic movie. Disney doesn't make them like they use to.

I was hoping you'd say the Transformers animated movie.. but it wouldn't be the same without hundreds of thousands of little kids tears and cries of optimus prime's death to usher in a new toy line.

I would love to, but won't be going. Sixteen bucks for a movie ticket for a movie I already own + some 3D is just not worth it.

I try not to give my money to the evil empire.Believe me, I die a little bit inside every time I go to see a new Marvel film. I really don't watch a whole lot of animation when it comes to feature length films anyways, I figure I saw kids films when I was a kid and might again if I ever have kids, so in the interim I'll stick to drama, sci-fi, and comedy.

What's with the current trend of bringing back old movies and making them 3D just to bring in the cash? :?

Can't wait:D

Lion King not my favorite Disney movie, but I've been craving to see a full 2d 3D animated movie after those gorgious flashback scenes in Kung fu Panda 2

The fact that it is one of Disney's best is an extra ++++++

I miss 2D disney:(

Nope. I'm in college so I don't have a lot of time to blow on movies. Also I don't have a lot of friends I could go with; perhaps my Girlfriend but she's prone to headaches and doesn't like 3D.

the worst part is, tons of people will see top gun 3d, even though the movie was nothing short of horrible. Now, the lion king may be worth it since I havn't seen it in a while and it's a rather good movie.

I really don't wanna see the movie in theaters. Not because I don't enjoy it, I just have no desire to fall prey to Disney's ploy of milking their past franchises to make a quick buck.

But my girlfriend reeeeeeally wants to see it, so I will go and watch it because I don't have a choice in the matter.

Maybe.

It would be definite yes if it were in 2D, and it is a definite yes to the BD.

I will say I am surprised it's even coming to my area. Normally, we seem to miss out on limited/short-run movies.

Greatest Disney movie is Jungle Book and/or Aladdin.

Lion King is a tear-jerker, so I try my best to avoid it. Great flick though.

I'd go see Dark Knight again in theaters three more times if they put it out in theaters again (because I seen it 7 times in theaters, would like to round it out to ten).

I would laugh if people started singing Hakuna Matada during the film but instead they've singing the Harry Potter version

"Avada Kedavra! What a wonderful curse"
