If you seen the movie, you'll know what I'm talking about and you might say the hallway containsthe best fight sceneever and maybe the best scene in cinematic history.

Anyway I thought the fight was so amazing that it deserved its own topic of appreciation and us claiming Christopher Nolan asone of the lordsof modern cinema.

Plus, I also liked the bit with everyone floating around, it looked so natural.

That scene was brilliant. My favorite scene in the whole movie, and there were a lot of great scenes.

It was a fantastic scene. Leave it to Nolan and Gordon-Levitt to do something that great.

Yeah I was just talking about that scene with someone earlier. It's definitely one of the coolest fight scenes I've seen in a long, long time. Most fight scenes in movies these days are just loud, fast and generic, but the one in Inception was just unique and an amazing sight to see.

That and the part where the city folded in on itself were my favorite parts of the movie.

That shot involved no CGI you know, they shot it live in a rotating set.

Great scene, but I wouldn't say best in cinematic history.

I have difficulty believing this wild claim.

From (below 1st hallway scene picture)

For one reason I am so excited about this is because it is being directed by my favorite director, Christopher Nolan, which he also wrote and directed Memento, my favorite film. The thing that makes Christopher Nolan such a great summer blockbuster director, is he is old school, everything in Inception (as much as possible) is done without CGI. Yes, there is plenty of CGI, but a few notable scenes, like in the first teaser trailer, we have a fight scene in a hallway, but while these characters are fighting, gravity is shifting everywhere so there flying all over in the hallway. This scene is done without CGI, instead that hallway is a massive set that is lifted in the air that spins and rotates while the characters are fighting inside. I can't wait to see the behind the scenes of this film, because some of the effects are just mind blowing, just look at the pics. I think every director would have made these scenes CGI, but instead Chris Nolan tries to create everything within the camera and not CGI.

If that were the case, I'd have a difficult time thinking about how they pulled it off. The camera must have been rotated as well.

If you watch this featurette, you will see the actual set for that hallway scene partway through. It's pretty amazing what they managed to do without CGI.

Thats what made it so great. If they used CGI it would be far less impressive.

Great scene, yeah. Best in cinematic history? No, definitely not, but I loved it regardless. :)

One of the greatest fight scenes ever, definitely, though I really cant yet say how it ranks among others. For those saying it isnt the greatest fight scene ever, could you list some that are better? Im not trying to say that in a way that I disagree, but im curious as to what opinions you guys have

This scene and the hallway fight scene in a foreign movie called oldboy (great movie, check it out if you haven't seen it) are my two favorite fight scenes in movie history.

How did they do the part with no gravity?
