I just watched The Mist and I thought it was amazing. Such a great film. The whole "society" in the store was crazy , and the endig blew me away it was almost
inhuman to the main character, what they did to him, defiantly the craziest ending I have ever seen. A minute...one minute and salvation
Also there is an excerpt from my history book that I think fits perfect with the movie:
--"Meanwhile, Englishman Thomas Hobbes explored the notion of "sovereignty" as well as absolute authority. His seminal work, Leviathan (1651), emphasized man's need for security in a frightening, unstable world. As a way to express his ideas more clearly, Hobbes used the theoretical model of humans in the uncivilized, wild, and untamed original "state of nature." As Hobbes saw it, man's existence in this original "state of nature" had been "solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short." According to this view, the absence of law and security in a pre-political state of nature made men fear their neighbor and act as violent creatures. Moreover, individuals pursued their own interests for fear that others would steal from them if they did not act preemptively. Ultimately, in order to overcome this chaos, men forged a social compact that vested sovereignty and authority in an absolute ruler. Self-preservation was the justification of this rational contract. "
Just thought it kinda fit the movie to some extent.
