IMO, My Bloody Valentine is the most beautiful music ever.....Kevin Shields is my new musical hero. The album Loveless is frankly astonishing.....its like a dream in musical form (Heres a song from it, used brilliantly in the film Lost In Translation)

Whats your opinion?

Uh, I hear lots of static and not so pretty noise. I had to turn it off, gave me a headache.

Bossa Nova. You know, Girl from Ipanema. The spicyness of Samba and the coolness of jazz. It's basically samba ballads. Here ya go : http://youtube.com/watch?v=KfRgu5wTVsM

I certainly do like them but I much prefer Ride, Lush, Drop Nineteens & Slowdive as far as shoegazing music goes.

me too...i liked him and a lot of other old singers.. -Marvin Gaye -The Temptations -Luther Vandross... music was a lot better back then... i think the most "beautiful" music is smooth jazz though...i know im pretty much the only one on this entire site that feels that way though..

At the moment I'll have to say Disintegration by The Cure. That album is majestically beautiful and I'm so clad I rediscovered it. However MBV's Loveless is definitely one of my favorites when it comes to albums that have made the biggest impact on me.

Oh, you ain't the only one that's a jazz fan:P Jazz was the first music I loved, my dad always had jazz playing so I learned to appreciate it at a young age and I still do.

In that particular territory you might want to check out this particular recording of Allegri's Miserere. The sounds the emit from this recording are probably the most beautiful sounds ever recorded.

Imogen Heap - Speak For Yourself (that's an album).  That's the only album that has any songs on it that consistently move me to tears.  Brahm's First, Windir - 1184, Rimsky-Korsikov's Scherezehade, Boards of Canada, and Explosions In The Sky are all runner-ups.
