If you saw the newiest episode of the walking dead last night, you have to agree that Shane will turn into a walker in the next few episodes. When he stuck in the bus while the walkers were after him, he used the same knife to cut himself that he previously used to stab the security guard walker earlier in the episode. I think he is now infected. Also the lone walker out in the field that Shane was staring at as they were driving by kind gave me the sense that Shane was lookinginto hisfate. what do you guys think?

I didn't notice that! Interesting observation. I think shane might become a walker as well. :o

I think the main focus though, is whether or not they are going to kill the new guy, which to me, doesn't make sense. Rick should look back to when he was alone. Did the people in Atlanta kill him? Or welcome him into thier group? I think if they have any humanity left, they should let him live and join their group.

I don't think they'l kill the new guy. You know Rick he's such a do gooder. I personally think that this kid should die because he kind of shpwed his true colors when that walker was coming after him and he said "come on **** show me what you got." plus he was with those jerks from philly that Rick had to shoot.

yea i think it is supposed to be atleast 300 volumes and it's only at like 120 or something.and yea i understand haveing the actual book but alot of people i talk to are always tight with money so online reading is always kinda a first suggestion.

yea they did. The two security guard zombies didn't have any bites on them apperently. Idk if theyd kill shane off like that though, who knows.

Yeah I agree, I think Shane will fall off very soon. I'd imagine he'll be killed off in the final episode of the season.

Personally, I think Shane is a great character and foil for Rock. Shane's descent into who he has become is the most interesting part of the series for me, and so far he has provided all the great drama. I haven't read the comics (though I've heard the show isn't following them that closely) so I don't know his fate, but I want him in the series. The fact that he used the infected knife to cut himself was a very great point, I didn't catch that.

What I really want is Carol and Andrea to die. T-Dog hasn't been up to much either so i suspect he might be killed off. And i'm wondering if the show will come back to Daryl's story arc in his episode where he seemed detirmined to be evil. It seems like after Andrea shot him, he hasn't gotten into that mindset.

I actually didn't notice that at all nice observation. I was a bit worried about Rick tbh. There was the pre-shadowing of them talking about how the guards must have been scratched, and then when the walkers all game out, and there were the two dead ones on top of Rick it looked like the third one might have scratched him.

Btw guys, I'd like it if we kept spoilers to a minimum assuming that the comics and show are similar.

Also you have to feel like if the group lost Rick or Shane it would be a big hit as far as protection, although I really don't like Shane much.

They should all be infected by now. That the one inconsistency with zombie related things. If the virus is transferred through blood and saliva and they get blood all over their face every episode how is no one infected?!

Rick's face was beaten to a pulp; he had multiple cuts and was bleeding before all the walkers came out. Then he shoots them in the face and get their blood all over his face, yet he's not infected? I love the show, but I mean there are plot holes. Deryl has an arrow through his stomach kills walkers and then falls unconscious in the contaminated water. Meanwhile back at the farm everyone is trying to get walkers out of the well because they'll contaminate the water and turn everyone.

if we are gonna use logic they'd all be dead by now, i've seen walkers blood splattered across their faces and bodies, if the infection is trough blood they'd already be infected, just look the ammount of blood rick had in him, one drop of that blood in a small scartch and you are done.

naw it seems to be just a plot hole imo but the zombie at the end was proof how shane was alone and how close the walkers are to the barn best episode ALL season.

It was mentioned in the comics. Thats what the doctor told rick during the season 1 finale. Everyone already is infected with the virus.

and there you have it: The Walking Dead ;)

I don't think you have to worry about Rick dieing off. I think shane might die the last epiisode of this season. I didn't see him wipe the knife off after he stabed the walker in the head. Even if he did i still think some of the virus would still be lingering on the blade.

Ahh I see. Thanks for clearing that up. I haven't read the comics. I thought he told Rick that his wife was pregnant from the way the show portrayed it. I think the show might be taking a different approach though because there were dead bodies that hadn't been zombified in the second season.

zombie marks and bites might be what trigger it then. But the airborne virus part will probably be brought up eventually. It caused a big momentum change in the comics.

Also so will the character known as "the governor"

OK he sounds pretty epic!

Anyways, this episode was pretty damn epic. Maybe my second fav one this season besides the amazing mid-season finale. That finale was just incredible.

The lone wanderer (the walker) was meant to be Shane in general, being a loner and an outsider, at least that's how I saw it. The series has plenty of inconsistency when it comes to zombie lore though, so him knifing a zombie then cutting himself might mean nothing, especially since Glen and Rick have covered themselves in guts before so it doesn't seem like the blood can cause the infection, it's one of those magical things where "hey get scratched or bit and somehow that transfers it!" but then cover yourself in blood and bacteria and hey no problem!

false, if they get it before dying they get a fever that kills them, it was stated in the end of season one and remember the crazy guy from the camp they left in a tree, unless they've changed it in the comics or something

the fever that kills them and the reanimation virus are two different things according to the comics
