For those of you who don't know, "The Number 23" is a new movie starring Jim Carrey. It is a different kind of movie than you're used to seeing when it comes to Jim Carrey (Well, except for "Eternal Sunshine", "The Truman Show", and "The Majestic", but those were more of just 'Serious Roles')

This new film will be a thriller. Yes, a thriller, starring funny-man Jim Carrey. I won't go on and on about the details, because I'm sure most of you already know all about it. Trailer for the clueless: YouTube 23 Trailer

Anyway, what do you guys think? To me it will be a nice change to see Mr. Carrey take on the psychological thriller bit. Needless to say, I'll have my ass in the theatre next Friday.

Jim Carrey>everyone Of course I'll see it! It will take a while to get over Jim Carrey not being in a comedy but it actually looks like a really good movie.

It doesn't look particularly interesting to me and having Carey in it only makes me all the more hesitant to see it so I'll pass on it.

Hate is a rather strong word. I'm just not much of a fan and I don't feel he is a particularly good enough actor to make me want to see a movie that doesn't really look that interesting to begin with.

He was okay when he made The Client and before that. But since Batman and Robin....just a big crapfest.

Nope.  Can't buy Carrey in a serious role like this.  Everytime I see him, his face pops into my head doing Ace Ventura: "Allllrighty Then!  Bye bye now."

He's just not made to do thriller roles.  Serious roles maybe, but not a psychotic or crazed killer.

Jim Carrey has versatility, this guy just made some poor career choices and has done too much to build up a reputation as a clown more than anything else. I know who could do an excellent job as serious characters, as we have seen on truman show and eternal sunshine. But Ive always wanted to see him play a villain, (not riddler) but a much more serious darker villain

I'm into stuff like this, so I want to see it. But wanting and going to see a movie are two completely different things.

I don't understand when they say that 2/3 is .666 when in reality you would round up to make it .667 because it is a repeating number and goes on forever.
