What's weird is that when I first view it, I couldn't control which way it went. I would look at it and it would spin in one direction and then it would all of a sudden spin in another direction without being able to control it. Since then, I've found out how to control how to perceive it some extent, but it requires a lot of focus.

The girl has been spinning in one direction the whole time, what am I missing? She is obviously going clockwise.

I doubt my nearsightedness would effect it, but I don't get how it could appear to spin in the opposite direction, unless the gif suddenly decides to play backwards.diped

Try looking at her foot and instead of imagining it going in front of the rest of her body as it goes rightward, imagine it going behind the rest of her body.

I don't think there is a correct direction that she's spinning.
When I first looked at it, it appeared that she was spinning counter-clockwise for me.
I look at it again later and then it looks like she's spinning clockwise.... I guess it's really about perspective, and it will change periodically when you look at it.

Correct. There's no correct direction. I was trying to make him focus on perceiving the opposite direction.

I got it after staring at it for a while, I acually looked kind of underneath her at the shadow and it started working for me.. that is awsome. at first i was like.. wtf how can this chang edirections? its so obvious.. then BAM! I sure showed me!

I also got it fort a second she was waving her leg just in front, now its just clockwise again, I can't control it very well. YET!diped

None of these were particularly great, though I don't remember any particularly impressing me anyway.

The girl spinning was pretty hard to get working, though.

EDIT: just saw the ferris wheel, which is also pretty cool, and easier to to in my opinion.
