You're up 38-0 in the first half, and you keep brady in the game, THROWING. And now they're up 45-0, and I'll bet a million bucks that he'll come in the second half and keep throwing. That's the only way he broke the TD record a couple years ago too. I remember the bills game, and they were up 48-0 and brady was still in the game. When Marino and Manning broke the record, they had a running game AND NEVER ran up the score to douchey extremes.

I can't believe how little clas this team possesses.

I agree they are classless. The only reason they are doing this though is because there was so many questions about them this year.

So you're saying when you're up 45-0, you put your starting QB and starting offense in the game in the second half? That's ridiculous. No team with class or sportsmanship would do that, on any level, ever.

It's horrible that they would do something like this to a bunch of middle-school kids.

Even if they were playing the saints or colts or vikings (ie, the best teams), there is no reason to keep passing and your starters in when the score is 45-0.

Wah wah wah. This isn't 6 year old youth soccer. This is grown men playing a game for a living. If Tennessee can't compete then forfeit the rest of the game. Would it make everyone happy if NE just kneeled on every possession in the 2nd half. Should they try to play crappy so the widdle Titans don't get their feeling hurt?

Any team with class would not throw when it's 45-0. Now it's 52-0, and I guarantee brady will be back in the game on the next drive, throwing the ball.

Sure there is. They can get some practice in on Sunday afternoon. Though at this point, I think the Pats practice squad would put up more of a fight.

I don't see a problem. The opposition is supposed to stop the ball but they can't. Both teams ought to do their best. Btw, the score is now 52-0. :)

Whine, whine, whine. Thats all people ever do. Patriots play bad and everyone laughs and says they sux...they play great and everyone starts crying. Get over it, as I said its is not The Patriots job to make the game easy. Brady went in for that first drive, even the announcers expected him to be back for one more to run down the clock a bit. Now I doubt Brady will be back.

This is professional football. It isn't Belichick's job to make sure the Titans feel good about themselves. It's the Ttian's job to stop them, and it's pathetic that they can't.

Btw, I'm not a Patriots fan by any means, but these are grown men playing pro football. There's no such thing as running up the score.

Really? I'm sure he'll be back on the next drive, throwing the ball. It's one thing to run up the score a little, but when you keep your starters in when the score is 45-0 you make the entire NFL look horrible. High school or pee wee teams wouldn't even do that. In college ball, teams take their starters out when they're up by 35. I'm not crying I could care less WHICH team was doing this. It's worse, however, because the patriots do this frequently. That is why they are douchebags. And how bellichick never shakes hands with coaches after the game, and in press conferences after a loss he mumbles like a toddler. The entire organization has no class.

I agree, and have always disliked the Patriots and their fans. There are certain unwritten rules of football that most teams abide by. One of which is that when you team is on the winning end of a blowout, you usually pull your starters and absolutely you DO NOT throw the ball. Keep it on the ground and get thegame over quickly. It just shows respect, of which the Patriots have none.

I don't even really care about football but basically you are angry at the Patriots for playing the game the best they can without letting up. You should have better reasons for a hating a team than "But but but they are really tough competition."

I loved how Belichick lost to the jets a couple years back, when they were being coached by his former offensive coordinator/pupil, lost the game, got this grouchy, lame look on his face and approached the coach after the game, shook his hand and barely made eye contact and hardly said a word and walked away without giving him the chance to speak.

THEN, later that season the Pats beat the Jets, and Belichick shoves a camera man out of his way to get to his former offensive coordinator/pupil to give the man a hug, after beating them pretty bad. Another way of saying, "I just kicked your ass."

Belichick is a loser and a cheater.

What are you talking about  I would say almost every game Bill shakes hands with the other coach, even last game verse the Broncos he was looking for Denvers head coach but that guy was too busy jumping around. People just hate when a team plays good, simple as that, the object of the game is to win and score touchdowns...which is what the Patriots are doing.

no, the towel boy has been watching brady for a while and he probably picked up a few things along the way. it would be far too cruel to punish the titans with the towel boy.

Nope, all teams should play to the lowest common denominator of the two teams. We don't want anyone having to dry their tears with the $500,000 they just made for playing one game.

I agree in a way, but they should be trying to kill the clock and running alot. Not trying to run up the score even more than it is. That shows lower class than pulling your starters. Also, it's still early in the year so being up by that far they should pull some of their top players for their own interest as well, less chance of losing a very valuable starter. It's just stat padding, and considered poor football etiquette by many.

It's just stat padding, pure and simple. It'd be smarter to save your star player and run down the clock and control the clock and take it easy rather than go all out and risk losing some of your best players when you're up 48 points. It's just common sense IMO.

You know what should make the Titans feel bad? Collins' stat line. 2/12 for -7 yards. Maybe they should worry about the offense too.

You need to learn a thing or two. SaintLeonidas

I could say you need to learn to thoroughly read posts.

While there may be other NFL coaches that are losers, Bill is still worst in my book. Mentioning other coaches that were bad sports doesn't make up for the fact that Bill himself is one. The thing that bothers me most is that I share the same name as him.

Well Bill :P He may be a "loser" or a "poor sport" like so many other coaches, but he is still a winner and thats all that matters in my book. Be great if hecoached this good and was also a happy go lucky fellow but I think many teams would love a coach like him.

the reason I'm so furious, appalled (and ashamed to be an NFL fan) by the patriots is because they are known to be so unsportsmanlike. If the bears score 100 against the falcons tonight, that would be bad. But the bears, their current coaches and players, and current fans don't have a reputation of public unsportsmanlike conduct. The patriots do, and frequently. Plus, the bears would take out their starters, backups, and backup backups when the score got to 45-0. If, after that, they continued to score, then that just means the falcons blow. The point is that the patriots kept their starters in, and they kept throwing.

[QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"]If it was 52-0, with the Titans winning people would sit back and laugh and say the Patriots deserve it.LikeHaterade

I wouldn't, so that statement is false. =/

I didnt say everyone would.

Yes, they have no class because they're using their most skilled and talented players to score. How very dare they. That's why i hate watching soccer; i cant stand it when one team classlessly kicks the ball into the goal to score. :P

you know if you aren't always trying to play your best you can actually get worse. I say your complaints hold no water what so everSerraph105
Not a complaint, just an opinion. I don't see it as a smart move and I do find stat padding as low class football etiquette. No matter what team or players are doing it. It's one thing to excelt competitively. It's another thing to rub another teams nose in it when they came is clearly won already.
Perhaps... but its the Patriots - they are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Maybe a lesson will be learned today... we'll see.Sajedene
Yeah, people complain to complain alot of the time. But it's not the first time they've done it and definitly won't be the last. I probably shouldn't have said I hoped Brady got injured though, that was a bit wrong on my part. But it definitly isn't going to make me respect the Patriots at all. Or any other team that conducted themselves in that way.

Like the Patriots or not, there is no excuse for a professional football team to be playing as poorly as the Titans are right now. I'm not condoning what the Pats are doing, but the Titans are playing like a Division 3 school right now.
