The scariest Halloween costumes

Hello guys. I know you might think it is too early to be talking about Halloween but it's just that me and my friend moved temporarily to the US a couple of months ago and we're staying until mid 2014 and we want to dress to Halloween with something really scary because even though nobody really cared about Halloween back on Portugal (our origin country) we are really good pranksters.

On-topic: What do you think could be some terrifying costumes? I mean, people don't get startled with zombies or monsters anymore because they're so used to see it on movies and videogames so we were thinking on other things, but we can't recall anything. Slenderman might be a monster but he is different because he looks human so that scares people more than seeing something scary like a green monster and knowing by common sense that that is fake.
