Slave State

As some of you know, North Korea is, as Christopher Hitchens called it, a slave-state. The image above depicts the curfew that all North Koreans must abide by. All lights go off at curfew time.

It's a real shame that nothing is being done about this. Thousands are dying from famine and state executions. Unlike slaves that we used to have, these guys aren't even being fed.

... You honestly think organizations like the United States government cares about things like this? We have supported regimes like that in the past and still do in some forms.. Furthermore, worse thigns have happened and nothing has done.. case in point: Rwanda genocide.

It's this, "what can I do" mentality that is preventing any real change from happening. It's a very unbecoming attitude to hold. Also, because there have been worse things in the past, there is also the more reason to prevent these things from happening again in the future.

After the Holocaust, we as a people said, "never again." And yet it has happened again. Look at the Cambodian Genocide, Rwandan Genocide, Dar Fur, and now this.

Well guess what the world doesn't work that way.. Countries like the United States who people some how think they act like the "world police" is just another private organization looking for whats in THEIR best interests first and always.

I've always been of the opinion that countries should work together to support issues that are detrimental to the well-being of humankind.

What does this have to do with supporting or not supporting an effort into ending the holocaust happening in North Korea? What there needs to be is united effort on the part of all western nations.
