Especially the second one. I wonder what the reboot is going to be liked based on the way the first two were directed?

I dunno, I liked that the Spiderman movies didn't take themselves completely seriously. It's always nice to have a superhero movie that isn't out to be gritty and serious, especially with a world as colorful as Spiderman's.
Still, the third one proved that it's not good to overdo it.
I hope it's dark and gritty. I also hope Spiderman kills someone. None of that pansy "friendly neighborhood" nonsense.

He's going to be a highschooler. I doubt we're getting a dark and gritty version, more like something catered towards the Twilight crowd.
I just hope these actors can do a good a job with movie and it wont flop like the 3rd. Didn't mind the movie being camp I guess. I wonder if its going be called The Amazing Spiderman?

I liked that it wasn't completely serious all the time, but a dark atmosphere could be interesting when dealing with Venom.
I find the "dark and gritty" way that Batman is often depicted rediculous; he's wearing bat costume...
It's funny you mentioned it because I watched the first one last week and thought the exact same thing.
I hated in the second one when:
that scene with Mary Jane running through the park and Peter finally getting the girl. SO CRINGEWORTHY! It's not that I think superheroes shouldn't get the girl, it's just the way it's handled is gosh darn annoying.
They will never do a "dark and gritty" Spider-Man because he's not that kind of super hero. His story does get more extreme when the Civil War comes around, as does pretty much every heroes story, but you're supposed to be able to relate to him. He doesn't kill people, he's a wise cracking neighborhood super hero. His deepest problems are problems that most people his age face. Work, money, girl problems and such. It's not really the darkest individual, y'know? So they don't have a lot to work with unless they went right into the Civil War, which they won't do.I hope it's dark and gritty. I also hope Spiderman kills someone. None of that pansy "friendly neighborhood" nonsense.

Oh my gosh my thoughts exactly! And what's up with GameSpot's crappy editor???
Umm....he did kill people...what movies did you see?I hope it's dark and gritty. I also hope Spiderman kills someone. None of that pansy "friendly neighborhood" nonsense.

That is funnyON TOPIC: The only person Spider Man had ever killed in the movies was the guy who "killed" Uncle Ben.
Green Goblin killed himself
Doc Octopus sacrificed himself
Eddie Brock (venom) Killed himseld by jumping back into the symbiote
The Sandman never died.
Oh, and the "New Goblin" Killed himself

Well you should have been more specific. Murdering people is not in spider man's profile. If they made a "dark and gritty" spider-man it would not fit well at all. Spider-man is not supposed to kill, it is part of what makes him Spider-man.I hope it's dark and gritty. I also hope Spiderman kills someone. None of that pansy "friendly neighborhood" nonsense.

This.
Exactly. These people have no idea what they're talking about. Spider-Man is not supposed to be anything like that. Raimi's first two Spider-Man movies are better than any of this Nolan reboot pile of ****.Oh, the Nolan trend, not every film needs to be dark and gritty, Spiderman was great just the way it was,
