Yo, im just wondering how athiests think the universe and outer space were created. Whether it be 6 trillion years ago, or 3000 years ago, I just dont see how something this massive can pop out of nowhere. Everything has a starting point, and dont even start to say "Well, the universe has just been there forever," because clearly that is a lie. Just popping out a question that SCIENTISTS cant prove. If you are going to ask that of atheists and expect it to be answered, then you must first answer this: "If god created the universe, what created god? for the reasons you just mentioned, something like that can't just pop out of nowhere"

Well what I believe is that God was never created. God is everything that surrounds us. God is our sun that supports life on our planet, god is our universe that creates balance. God isn't a thing. He's in our mental mind.

The human mind cannot go that far and think about deep thoughs, it's not what we were made for.

Egypt was a Christian Nation? Sorry if I missed something...

Well more like a provance of Rome Sorce: The great wikipedia

From the mid-first century AD, Christianity took root in Alexandria as it was seen as another cult that could be accepted. However, it was an uncompromising religion that sought to win converts from paganism and threatened the popular religious traditions. This led to persecution of converts to Christianity, culminating in the great purges of Diocletian starting in 303 AD, but eventually Christianity won out. In 391 AD the Christian Emperor Theodosius introduced legislation that banned pagan rites and closed temples.Alexandria became the scene of great anti-pagan riots with public and private religious imagery destroyed. As a consequence, Egypt's pagan culture was continually in decline. While the native population continued to speak their language, the ability to read hieroglyphic writing slowly disappeared as the role of the Egyptian temple priests and priestesses diminished. The temples themselves were sometimes converted to churches or abandoned to the desert.

If you are going to ask that of atheists and expect it to be answered, then you must first answer this: "If god created the universe, what created god? for the reasons you just mentioned, something like that can't just pop out of nowhere"

me.. being a christian.. would say that he is existent within himself, and that the human mind cannot comprehend this ability. It is a never ending argument where no one wins.. so i never get involved

likewise.

But since Atheists don't have the same belief as Christians, they can't claim the same explanation that Christians use for God, and apply that to the Universe's creation.

We created him by beliefs and having faith. Let's just say he is hidden somewhere deep inside us or in some other world that is impossible to access. The way he created everything around us is impossible to answer since there would point even if we did find out. Life is what you create it, life is an illusion with infinite questions that are impossible to answer.

This is very much disputed.. in the bible numbers can be figurative. 6 days might mean 6 million years.. ( i dont think it was made in 6 days either). but I do think that he could have done it in 6 days if he wanted.

Holy sweet Jesus, i fear for our future. One thing, whenever anyone is discussing "god", there is 99,99% probability they don't know what they're talking about. Make sure you're in that 0,01%, for god's sake!

Which is really dumb if you're trying to make a serious point, but even if you're not let's address people who actually agree with this.

The belief that there was God and nothing happened to God and then He was nothing and everything and magically created everything from nothing. So really, the Big Bang theory is the exact same as God creating everything, except rather than try and find valid and logical/emperical evidence to support the theory theists would rather play "lalalalalala" and say "just because."

Makes perfect sense.

Don't get so defensive. It was just a rebuttal to the Non-Fiction bible pic and the Cool Story Bro pic.

[QUOTE="Ringx55"]How did God create the Earth in 6 days? Better questionimaps3fanboy
This is very much disputed.. in the bible numbers can be figurative. 6 days might mean 6 million years.. ( i dont think it was made in 6 days either). but I do think that he could have done it in 6 days if he wanted.

So, if thats true, he made the vegetation on the third day. And then the sun, moon and stars on the 4th day. No way life could be sustained for that many years without a sun.

Which is why I said I would address the people who actually do believe it. In case any of them are watching.
