I'm 4 episodes in and already losing interest. The first episode was fantastic but everything since getting to the camp has been Ho hum. If I'm not really into the flow should I just give up or does it change at all?

Quit while you're ahead. Season 2 is disappointing with aside from maybe 2 episodes.

Pretty much what everyone else has said, it's not worth the watch. The last few episodes of season 2 are an improvement, but it really isn't worth wading through all the added garbage.

the comic is way different than the show and better, but i take them in as two separate entities. i think the show is good it is very entertaining compared to most other shows. the first season is good and the second season kind of drags but gets really good towards the final episodes, especially if you like the comic. just take them as two separate things and you will enjoy it for what it is, think of it as an alternate universe or what if this situation didnt happen. of course you have these people who compare the comic to the show and want it to be exactly the same and start crying whenever something different is done, however to make this show like the comic is unrealstic.. i would say just force yourself to sit through it if your not really enjoying it, you will probably just waste a day or less. if you really cant stand it, dont watch it. simple.

If you aren't enjoying it now, its unlikely the rest of the series so far will do anything for you.

I loved the series by episode 4. Things do take a twist the last few episodes of the first season.

I would say at least finish the first season, it does get a bit better.

If you aren't enjoying it by now, you might as well stop. The first half of season 2 is horrible.

If you're interested in mindless zombie action and you hate character development then I suggest you stop watching it. It seems like the majority of people don't actually want the writers to build up the characters which is pointless in my opinion. People seem to forget that it's a TV series, it's not going to be constant action. The show has a perfect balance between drama, horror and action

It depends on what he's expecting, he never really explained why he doesn't like it. Ho hum doesn't answer anything. Obviously it's not going to appeal to everyone though, guys tune in expecting non-stop mindless action while other people like the drama/character development. You just can't please everyone I guess.

I hope third season gets better and they start moving west. Hanging out on the farm got boring after a few episodes.

I lost interest mid season 2. Season 1 was more interesting. I think I'll be good for a marathon on a rainy day, but it's not a show I'd rush home to so I can watch the new episode.

You miss absolutely nothing if you just jump ahead to Season 2 finale now. Unless you want to find out the answer to the question WHERE'S CARL!? about 12 times an episode.

You already saw the best of the series, the first two episodes. Stop watching immediately, if you like the premise the comic is decent.

So far they've been following a policy of only honoring the worst parts of the comic series, and filling the good parts they cut out with horribleness. If they follow the comics to the next storyline, without spoilers it is basically like the farm only twice as long.

What is the point in watching just two episodes of a TV series? This show is going to go on for multiple seasons, it's silly to assume you will always hate the show when you don't know what's going to happen.

I think watching a show for two seasons waiting for it to get better is more than fair.

Apparently they're following the comics more next season so if you hate the show after that then you only have the comics to blame. The writers just can't win, they either create a story that's different from the comics and people complain that it's drifting too far from the source material or they stick to the source material and more people complain that it's not being original. Season 2 is a lot slower than the first but the reason for that is all behind the scenes, the creator was fired and the budget was cut multiple times.

This was my rationale behind not watching past season 3 Lost, a decision I feel was more than justified by the end.

You make it sound like 2 seasons is a lot. All the episodes combined isn't even a full season for most shows.

That is hardly what I said. I have no trouble with TV shows and movies adapting source material to suit their needs, that is perfectly reasonable. What isn't reasonable is taking out everyone's character development (and in some cases likability) and replacing it with everyone making bizarre, nonsensical decisions to fill out episodes (why did Carl suddenly became a brat for one episode?)

sigh... it does get worse but i suggest you watch through season 2 because it's finale opened up a lot of cool new avenues for the story to flourish. but yea season 2 is really boring except for the last few episodes.

Guys , what do you think of the opinion that most people who don't like the show is because they want mindless action instead of a balance between character development, drama, and action?

I can subsribe to it, but I think considering the only action we got for 6-8 episodes was CARL'S NOT IN THE HOUSE it's fairly justified even if you just wanted SOME action.

I've really enjoyed it. Season 2 wasn't the greatest thing ever, but the last several episodes do get pretty good and it's not like the episodes leading up to them are unwatchable.
