Being yourself is such an overused answer, the only people who give that responses are parents that don't feel like giving their kid attention at the moment so they blurt out a cheap answer. Don't be like all the other people either, it's a paper-thin plan.

Although it's a parental and quick answer, it is the best one. When it comes down to it, it's the person that is at the core of your being that she will like or dislike. You can only put on a mask for so long before she sees through your paper-thin skin.

Of course not to your girl, but some girls like to see their guy act like a jackass to other people, and in that comes the challenge of changing him. Maybe because it's a "I'm not letting anyone step over me" kind of attitude that is portrayed, who knows...

If he treats you like poo the same way he does to random shmoes, then I'd have to agree that that wouldn't be very likable, and it'd be time to move on.

Yes you guys and my friends from school and university. I like to think that my character is pretty consistent. The only thing that I really change is my profanity around people who are sensitive to it.

Go out of your way to start up a conversation, don't talk about yourself all the time. I'm no Hugh Hefner but I think those things should work just fine.

Just don't be a jerk, awkward, or repulsive.

Be intelligent, well meaning, thoughtful.
