The Beatles, then The Who even though the Stones have done more good albums. I just like The Who better, plus Quadrophenia beats anything anyone has ever done.
I prefer The Who. They're one of the best live bands I've ever heard, largely because of Keith Moon. I never liked The Beatles or the Stones.
I pretty much share those exact feelings.I prefer The Who. They're one of the best live bands I've ever heard, largely because of Keith Moon. I never liked The Beatles or the Stones.

Too close to call......
Honestly, if the Stones quit making albums after Exile on Main Street and had just been just going around touring all these years (thus playing songs up til Exile), they would have been the most revered band of all.
Still, Miss You is great in concert I must admit.

Stones are also a great live band, always have been

The Who > The Beatles > Rolling Stones.

I would rank them exactly the same way.
I'd rank 'em that way as well. The Beatles have such diversity in everything they did. Pop, rock and roll, trippy stuff. Its like they kept reinventing themselves each time. A music journalist said that most bands should quit after making one album because the second is just never as good. (IE: JET).
Another great thing about The Beatles is that their lyrics were so good they could be adapted in new ways.
Though the movie wasn't great, the soundtrack to Across the Universe is just amazing. So of the songs and the way they have been adapted to new styIes and voices is brilliant.
Ultimately yeah I guess I'd say Beatles. All 3 made brilliant albums in their peak period:
Help, Rubber Soul, Revolver, and Sgt. Peppers(1965 - 1967 period)
vs
Beggars Banquet, Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, Exile on Main Street(1968 - 1972 period)
vs
The Who Sell Out, Tommy, Who's Next, Quadrophenia(1967 - 1973 period)
The Kinks >>> all those bands.
Oh snap, I gotta agree. If other 60s bands are aloud then I change my pick to Cream. The Rolling Stones > The Who >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Beatleschessmaster1989you got it all backwards.
The Beatles then The Who. Never really a fan of the Stones.btaylor2404same. though the stones have some good songs.
