Seriously, with the exception of the hunting and golf I could match that description.
I keep telling people that getting married and having children shouldn't be considered one of those "necessities" in life, unless of course you're truly compelled to follow those dreams (compulsions). If you're one of the fortunate few who don't have that particular calling, life continues to be a physical and intellectual playground ad infinitum.

Hey man, I'm already in that boat. When all of my friends started getting married I thought, "Hey, maybe I should really consider marriage." But then I got to watch those relationships develop... the friction, the adultery, the divorce, the hatred, the legal battles, the fight over furniture, the fights over everything else under the Sun, and yes... the love too.Sorry, but no thanks. I can see how it's rewarding for some, but I'm not part of that crowd. The "love of one's life", the "joy of children"... not for me, but thanks.
*edit - Oh, and the taxes are nothing compared to the cost of a wife and children, I assure you.
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl, 'Will you marry me?' The girl said, 'NO!' And the guy lived happily ever after, and rode motorcycles, and went fishing and hunting, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch, and he had tons of money in the bank, and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted. Good story.
