They are on strike because they don't make 2 pennies from evey episode download sold on the internet... the Conan O'brien show is still being written by the same people... Conan is paying his writers out of pocket to keep writing... there was a story about this on the news a few weeks back...
I want this to end because I want new episodes of the unit so I can get season 3 on DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

conan writers are not being payed by conan to write for his show.they are still on strike. he was paying for his non-writing staff when it was off the air.
I'm pretty sure that the Reality Show producers would want the strike to keep going. As for me, I'm boycotting Prime Time TV until the strike ends (except for sports games).

I would have agreed with you eight years ago, but there have been a number of surprisingly watchable shows released the past few years. It's certainly an upward trend from when all the networks canceled their expensive plot-driven shows in order to churn out a ton of insulting reality shows.
Let em' starve. They're just trying to extort money out of something they have no part of.

Yeah, and they got payed for them when they aired. On the other hand, they had no part in the creation of the DVD, or the creation and contiuous maintenance of the servers and TV networks that allow for digital transfers of the matieral. Again, they're trying to extort money by making themselves appear to be victims.
not to mention the writers are screwing EVERYONE over because they want more money...since the writers have been on strike all of the crew has been laid off...They have families too and are getting payed LESS than the writers.
Jay Leno seems a bit funnier now that's he writes his own jokes for the monologue. Conan is even more spontanious than ever. pretty good for late night shows..
The whole Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert vs. Conan O'Brien is pretty funny. Last night Stewart said something like "Yes, the ball is in your court, maybe you could do something to kill time in all three of our shows." That was funny.
I can see how the writers strike would make people who watch series (heros,shield,etc) unhappy...but I am loving how all of the late night shows are adapting to it...probably the funniest they have been in awhile.
