Oh my God, I was in the movie theater and this man behind me had the nerve to answer a phone call DURING THE MOVIE. He didn't even leave his seat, he just picked it up and started yapping. I felt like taking the phone from him and dropping it in the trash... How can someone not be aware in this day of age that all movie theaters ask that you turn off your phone during the movie, or at least put it on vibrate. The only thing worse than that is a crying baby, when the Mother hasn't the nerve to take her child outside. Especially in an R-Rated Movie where they don't belong...

Anyone out there have any similar experiences to share?

This person was texting in front of me and the light was annoying.

People just have no respect, they think they own everything. Kind of like most drivers (like those who don't even look on a 3 way intersection).

Accepting calls is stupid. You should of told him something. I don't mind texting as long as its on silent and you hide the light. I hate when people put their feet on the seat in front of them though even if someone is sitting in it.

Just go and tell the manager, or tell him to shut the **** up. It depends on how confrontational you are :P

I work at atheater and we do SIG checks, which means silence is golden, but we can only catch so many. If you let an employee know then we usually deal with it ourselves or let the respective people know to get the situation resolved. At least that's how its done at my theater.

No one likes creating a scene, but at the same time, no one likes having their movie disrupted.

Seriously, if you tell him/her to "shut the **** up" and he/she tries fighting back, the theater will have your back. I speak from experience... especially since their ringtone (it was Lean Back) was driving me nuts.

Agree completely. I've never encountered anything like that but the day I do is the day that person meets their end.

One time...

I was at the movie with my friend, and the previews hadn't even started yet, but this man was going around getting mad at whoever was on their phone.

The lights were still on and everything. This kid next to me was texting someone and the guy who worked at the movies creepily popped up behind him and was like, "let's put that away right now. Next time I see you on your phone, I'm taking it away."

And he'd just run around telling people to get off their phones.

The kid leaned in and said to me, "is this guy for real? he's so annoying."

I said, "I know right?"

Scary stuff.

The end.

Oh god, the last time I was at the movies, my best friend's brother frequently texted the entire time. And the buttons clicked loudly too. Nothings worse than trying to watch a movie you've been waiting to see and hearing *click, click, click, click, click, click, click* Wanted to grab the phone and throw it down the aisle lol

This annoys me a ton as well. Almost every movie I go to there will be someone looking at their phone every 10 minutes, holding it at head height so EVERYONE behind them can see, and not give a crap. Just last weekend I was watching a movie, someone kept doing that and he kept leaving the theatre in 10 minute intervals to go talk on it. My question is, who goes to the movies when they aren't even going to watch it?

I do not mind cell phones in the theatre as long as they do not talk on them, texting is ok.

Never bothered me when people answered their cell phones. Most of the time the movie was loud enough to where it drowned them out. I rarely go to the theaters anymore though, like once every 2-3 years.

You know, when I have to look at my phone during the movie, I turn the brightness down as low as it can go and put it on vibrate. Not only that but I angle it towards me so I don't bother anyone during the movie.

Naw, he was about a 30/40+ Latino. Hey I'm not saying anything is wrong with Latinos in general so don't get the wrong idea, but I swear sometimes I see someone doing the oddest, weirdest, most interesting or most inappropriate thing(s).

So do I but only when it's something important. What bothers me are the people who keep texting, you might as well stay at home if you're just gonna spend the whole time texting.
