According to the article, studios command a higher percentage of ticket sales early in a film's run in theaters.

An interesting article - "Things Theaters Won't Tell You" - see Item 4 in this link.

Hm, pretty interesting. I don't think putting a bar in a movie theater will help anything at all. It would just make people even more annoying during the movie.

If a movie theatre would have a bar installed I would just stop going all together and just wait for them to go onto dvd.

These points are too long. Surely he could have explained each point in just a few sentences?

There's a theater where I live that has a bar in it. Hasn't caused too many problems for me before at all.

There's a bar in the movie theater that I go to. People go to it after the movie. It doesn't really cause problems especially since majority of the annoying people are younger than 21.

I don't know what some of you are talking about, every cinema I have been to has a bar in it and this is going back over 20 years. I quite often have a beer or two before i go in as I can keep an eye on the que and chat with whoever i'm with as we wait. The main cinema I goto has a bar and a big screen set up in the bar showing all the trailers for upcoming movies.
